  1. Speaking of atomic bombs look at Hiroshima and Detroit over the passage of time. I saw the major portion of Detroit's decline in person and run by the same bunch since 1961. http://www.angelfire.com/ca4/yourturf2/HiroshimaandDetroit.htm
  2. Two boxes full of these. $15 a pair for small and $22.5 for large + shipping.
  3. Say do you think UV from welding makes vitamin D too? I ought to be safe.
  4. One of the oddest things I have seen was a single Redwood in the front yard of a house out west. Here is this towering behemoth at least 20 feet across it seemed and who knows how tall. It was the only tree in the yard and made that house look like a postage stamp.
  5. Have you ever wondered what it was like just before WW1 and WW2? We have history books with varying degrees of accuracy but I have to think there was a general decline in stability in many areas that made it ripe to happen. Way before my time but I have had WW2 ration books before. You want to see something funny show a young person one of these and they have no idea what it is.
  6. Yes and Tennessee is way behind Indiana too. Those people up there must be doing something wrong. Went to Tractor Supply to get seeds (eat your heart out MI) and no one thought the dire and imminent life threatening media generated reasons o destroy the country with covid 1984 was real. No one I talked to knew anyone personally that had it once again. A side benefit to all this is that young people who are seeing their futures thrown away for nothing are now paying attention to those who want to shut down the USA and asking why.
  7. YES and so is sunlight which helps create it naturally in your body.
  8. The real estate is magnificent. The rest not so much.
  9. This is one of the things that will kill CA. Up until recently companies could not move because their high talent irreplaceable workers would refuse to move and just get another job. Today one of the premier aerodynamic Universities in the world is right next to Martin Marrieta/Lockheed and the people being trained there have no interest in moving to lala land. Haas Machine tool is another one. Quietly building a huge facility in Nevada and the largest machine tool builder in the USA will soon be leaving the peoples republic. The exodus is really just starting and I hope people don't bring their socialist ideas with them and it is just conservatives leaving. That sadly is not what I am seeing though as the people from out there I talk to seem to think all kinds of taxpayer funded things are cool. I am truly grateful that I am 20+ years behind modern places like LA and wish it was even more.
  10. I am betting re-installing the Audigy driver would have done the trick. Worked for ILI and I. They probably couldn't figure the problem out so fell back on hey, we can always do a complete re-install of Win10.
  11. Priorities just seem to change in the country. I dug a hole for the spring runoff to collect in so I could hear frogs again this summer. I find it fascinating to see how it changes weekly as life begins to thrive in it. Have to finish digging out the last 2' of dirt stopping me from getting into my cave this year too. Grand kids are itching to see whats in there and so am I. This time of year the Barred Owls may spend most of the day going from tree to tree and they are fun to watch.
  12. I just love subtle humor!
  13. I did a job in Orange County back in 1983 or so. Spent some time with my parents who lived in Westminster and with my brother going to Sequoia and the Redwoods for cross country skiing. It was a whole different world out there then and I could have lived and afforded CA then. I don't recognize what I see anymore other than land mass. Went from there to Seattle for another month or so to build another night club. That was interesting too but not now. Rural areas can shelter you from the big cities until election time when people who have no clue about country life tell you how to live it. One of the interesting things about Tennessee is the nature of the forest which is loaded up with native fruits and nuts. Real hardwoods too like Hickory and Oak for smoking and tons of varieties for woodworking. The south east forest is my favorite though the trees are miniscule compared to the west.
  14. Don't forget motor voter registration and $500 covid 1984 gifts to illegals either. And if you are of a felonious nature stealing under $900 is not prosecuted anymore so go shopping without cash. Organic recycling is very big in LA and San Fran right now though so green things are moving right along.
  15. If you can't change your mind when confronted with truth beyond doubt then yes I think you were not really looking for answers.
  16. More "information" from more places means you have to develop a filter for what is real. I would really like just the facts but instead I have to try and see who is right most often over time and who is closer to being accurate on what will happen as a result of actions taken over time. This has gone on forever as human nature has not changed and reading what the Founding Fathers had to say about the media of their time is quite revealing.
  17. Software is a funny thing. I deal with CAD and CAM software that is also quite large and complex. There are bugs that get in there all the time and these are programs that cost a cumulative of north of $15,000 combined and yearly fees were another $3,000 on top of that. It is why I stepped off the renew your CAD CAM merry go round two years ago. More money for more headaches, I don't think so. But these PC's are not allowed online so I can stay with legacy things without problems. Safety with an online OS is a problem so newer is safer than old so what choice do you have? Personally I despise Win 10 and really did not want to give up Win 7
  18. I have not been impressed with non-mump 510's. Are the mumpy ones that much better and are they better than the 18 x 10 EBay horn?
  19. I ended up where I am because I really like the real estate and low taxes and smaller govt burden. Over the years and after having been around a lot of the country I have grown to know how relatively rare settings like mine are. Been here since 1987 and on the same piece of land since 1989 so this is home. Drinking coffee made from gravity flow spring water and looking out the front door where they deer and turkeys play. I get up at night and sometimes you pull the curtain back and the deer are 10 feet away grazing. My traffic jam to get to work on many days is the "wild" turkeys out there giving me the evil eye because I have not fed them yet. Going to the city, especially one like LA just gives me the creeps.
  20. No mumpalicious. The stuff I get is to old for that.
  21. How you artificially inflate numbers by exposing known at risk people to covid 1984. Why would any rational person do this when it has been known for some time who is really at . . . . . [Link to political article on political site removed]
  22. 402 and whatever horn goes on the stock three way.
  23. Anyone interested in a set of KPT-535/4's with passives I might be getting a set before SWAG and can bring them with me. No price yet as I don't know what I am getting into until I have my hands on them. Might also have a set or two of KPT 942's also.
  24. I got a second set in tool based on what I have heard so far and what I think will happen when these are dialed in.
