  1. Did you see how Colorado counted a dude with .5+ alcohol levels who died from alcohol poisoning as having died from wuhan flu? [Removed link, political site] And how serious does the media [removed political commentary] Then there is this and it relates to artificially inflating wuhan virus deaths through deliberately exposing known high risk groups to this. The cynicism of people who want to shut America down with this wuhan junk is just beyond amazing to me. Why was this woman not leading the fight to stop putting wuhan patients in nursing homes unless A, she was worried more about a paycheck than being responsible to those whose safekeeping was in part in her hands, or B wanted to help the Orwellian changing of America where we all would just be tricked into giving up our freedoms. 1984 was written to be a warning but is now a plan of action it seems by many. As an aside here is it not delicious how multi millionaire journalists and paid no matter what government officials say we are in this together while they suffer nothing from their tyrannical actions? [Removed link to political article] And finally we have more actual field testing of Hydroxyquinone that CNN won't report on. https://vaccineimpact.com/2020/dallas-physician-heals-covid-patients-successfully-with-non-fda-approved-hydroxychloroquine-after-hospitals-sent-them-home-with-no-treatment/ [Removed, more political]
  2. Makes you wonder if the Dell techs that approved of this listen to anything besides tiny little Dell OEM speakers. I was sweating bullets trying to figure this out. I have some Klipsch forum guests coming here next week and I sure did not want to tell them my S-MWM's now sound like junk and I don't know why. It's all OK now and the 32' organ pipes are back in business.
  3. I would also point out you go to the hospital first then you die so there is a corollary there. Nice day here and I am going to go out and enjoy it. Have a job to finish too for delivery Tuesday.
  4. OK what does this direct quote say" " The governor said it was “shocking" that 66% of new coronavirus hospitalizations are people who are either retired or unemployed and not commuting to work on a regular basis. The statistic comes from a preliminary survey of 113 hospitals, done over three days, that included 1,269 responses as the state seeks more information about how COVID-19 spreads. According to the data, 18% of new cases came from nursing homes, 4% from assisted-living facilities, 2% from congregate-care facilities, 2% were homeless, less than 1% from prisons and 8% were marked as “other." “This is a surprise: Overwhelmingly, the people were at home,” Cuomo said during a briefing on Long Island. “We thought maybe they were taking public transportation, and we’ve taken special precautions on public transportation, but actually no, because these people were literally at home.”"
  5. Seriously did you even read linked the article? Talking about New York too in case you missed that also.
  6. Yes and the hysteria when you point out lockdown falacies is well, hysterical. The blind eye being turned towards the cost of an illness that is far eclipsed each year by other problems just amazes me. There are more people being killed by denied treatment at hospitals that are mostly empty because they were all going to be filled with death and doom and we were all going to die. Have you seen all the multi millionaire news anchors that are set for life touting how pollution is going down as a benefit of killing the worlds economy? So far out of touch with the work a day people they claim to be kindred souls to but it's OK because they said they care.
  7. Last week I updated the Realtex sound card from the Dell site as the official version I thought I should use. It sounded terrible and I ended up downloading the Hi Def driver from realtex and after install all was well again. At first I wondered if I had changed a bad thing on the Xilica and could never find it there. The 256MB version straight from Realtex is the one to get.
  8. Polio, Hong Kong Flu, Swine Flu, Small Pox, Asian Flu, Cholera among others. You can lead a horse to fresh water of logic but you cant make them drink. Other than Kool Aid I guess. I find Cuomo's comments recently about staying at home being responsible for most wuhan red death deaths most interesting. This from the guy who stuffed wuhan virus patients in nursing homes and was shocked at the result which he now regrets. He is a Governor of a logic flyover state. You know it is getting bad for Cuomo when MSN is not covering for him anymore. This gets back to vitamin D and sunlight as being natural supressors of wuhan but there is no sunlight inside your safe space. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/shocking-66-percent-of-new-coronavirus-patients-in-ny-stayed-home-cuomo/ar-BB13HFxy Remember guys stay home and stay safe!!
  9. OK now I understand. I have found that K-77 to be a weak point in all the systems I have fiddled with and even if they are in perfect shape I pull them and sell them off.
  10. I will live with what I have. There is no way I am going to go in there and start rewiring my PC to solve a problem mostly solved already. The level of sound quality I have is high enough that I just don't care about small things unless they are easily solved. My biggest current concern is would an 8' horn smoke a 5' horn.
  11. Run a curve and a db test and figure out what is going on audibly. All that other stuff might have a part to play but why in the world would I try and figure all that out? Measure results and the heck with the rest of it.
  12. For now flipping the mouse over and running files off an ssd seems to have solved the problems. I was mainly posting this for other PC users who might have the same problems. You guys who show up for SWAG will hear the system being discussed although I will be running my files from a laptop and not my workstation. Laptop is all ssd.
  13. Just remember "Quarantine' is when you restrict the movement of sick people. 'Tyranny' is when you restrict the movement of healthy people."
  14. What I am talking about is not the noise of a working hard drive itself but the noise it makes in the audio signal. Fans have never been an issue here and the noise they make is pretty well smothered by the rack they are in.
  15. I have a really nice Quadro graphics card in my system. Supposedly it has real good hi-def audio output but I have never been able to figure out how to feed the Xilica from one of the HDMI ports. I have been told this would have better quality output.
  16. I have two boxes of back side wall mount brackets off KPT-100's and 200's. As far as that goes I have the speakers too if anyone is interested.
  17. This is in the for what it is worth category. Occasionally I have a friend over whose wife and daughter are professionally trained classical musicians. His hearing is also better than mine and I rely on him at times for more accurate feedback on what I have done than I can hear. He likes to make excuses to hear the S-MWM's and I enjoy his keener ears. Prior to his last visit I had discovered that moving the corded laser mouse caused a noise to happen with my system during playback. I run my S-MWM using my workstation PC as music source (Realtex sound card with High Definiton Driver update) which then feeds into a Xilica (3.5mm jack to XLR) where the two Crown amps go to left and right channel. I flip the mouse over to stop that and will someday be getting a cordless mouse to try and see how that does. Bernard shows up and I mention this to him and he starts talking about a dedicated music server. Now to me the audio world is just loaded up with things to part you from your money with little to show for it but bragging rights so I am skeptical of much of what I hear. I will listen to Bernard however and he mentioned that he had read that a spinning platter could cause noise too. Well son-of-a-gun that turns out to be true and my secondary hard drive with my music files was doing just that. Now neither of these is at a loud level but you can hear them once you know to look for them. He had read that the answer was to use a flash drive. Well I figure my main drive is an ssd so that will work the same. It did end the noise of the spinning platter. So if I want the very best I can do I drag and drop my current music list to the ssd main drive and play them from there and the mouse gets flipped over. And once again I get to avoid spending gobs of cash to correct a problem that had an easy cheap answer.
  18. Would one of the moderators please remove this thread from here? Thanks
  19. Thread moved to Two Channel Audio where it should have been to begin with.
  20. If you had a UMike and REW couldn't you measure this yourself? REW is free and a UMike is $100 and then many answers are at your fingertips.
  21. Yes I have tried both and that is why I am saying better. I will not be buying any more 510 horns.
  22. Yes and better than the 510 clone he sells. I am actually thinking of trying these out with a B&C DE-1085 on some 415lf bins. Cant buy just the 402 horns to fix these sets up and cant afford the $2,500 to buy new sets to stick on old speakers.
  23. I have mounted a set in that EBay 18" x 10" horn and used the stock Klipsch 904 two way crossover with them and it was much better than the gen 1 510 horn + DE-75 driver. Next month I expect I will get serious about speakers again and along with that is learning to use the analytical tools I have here.
