  1. Brandon knows his stuff.  He's probably the most informed person on this forum in regards to pricing of Klipsch gear.  Trust if he has it paced at $250, they're worth that amount.

Oh ok, I was thinking it would be 300 wpc like the XPA-2. Am in the hunt for a friend, and I'm sure he wants at least 300 wpc.

However, I should pick this up for the rest of my HT! But I really want to get some decent sub(s) first...

What on earth does he need 300 for?

Looks like a great unit.  Lots of great options plus pre-outs are always a plus.

Indeed!  I ran it with just the surrounds powered by the AVR.  It handled it pretty darn well.  I stand by the review I posted here about it.

It's a killer unit, it just didn't stand up against the Denon that replaced it.

  4. HD-BR, Heresy Decorator, Raw Birch.

    They're decorator Heresy I.  P denotes that they're 1976 mint.

Without knowing if they have had their caps replaced inside, it's hard to know if they need any kind of refurbishing - that's generally what you'd need to refurb on them.

Their value depends on the market and location, varying from $450-$650.  Condition will play into that as well.

  5. I can meet Gorm for a pickup and get them at least to Davenport.  I'll be heading to Peoria in November if someone wanted to get them from that leg further.  I think I still owe Gorm some money anyway.

I don't intend to respond further except to say that all my recommendations could improve your forum if you decide you want to do them. Whatever you do I am relieving you of my burden. I thank all who have helped me with my problems. This is my last post. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I was sympathizing with you until this line.  Now you just piss me off.

I acted as an administrator and moderator for many years in the hay-day of "bulletin-board software" and forums.  Assessments like this were a dime a dozen by self-righteous and pretentious do-gooders that assume they know how to run their business better than the owners and operators do.  Not taking into account their own personal lack of experience, or the amount of time and effort put in by voluntary staff members.

I'd hear people whine and complain about it on projects, and I'd hear them complain about it on discussion boards.  For lack of a better phrase, get the hell over yourself.  Your recommendations are not more valuable because you represent someone.  Your opinions are not more valuable because of your patronizing tone.  Your opinions sure as hell aren't more valuable because you make suggestions under the guise of attempting to better something, when all you're doing is snuffing out your own desire for self-satisfaction.

Now that's not to say that there aren't improvements that can be made.  That isn't to say that people shouldn't be able to come forward with concerns, that's not to say your points are invalid.  But your attitude and self-pretentiousness tells me that you're someone to be ignored, because no matter what anyone does, you'll just continue to moan and complain because it wasn't done YOUR way.

What you SHOULD be doing right now is thanking the moderators for doing the best job they can.  They don't get paid.  They're human.  They have lives.  And they spend a fraction of that here dealing with minute complaints like yours, and keeping everyone else in check.

You're on the internet.  You have to click a button to submit, meaning that you have more than enough time to think before you speak.  Maybe you should try doing that.

  7. Were the Klipsch WDST speakers packaged 2 to a box or individually?  I can't seem to recall if they were shipped in pieces like their larger counterparts were.  I seem to recall that at least the RS-42's were shipped separately, but wasn't sure for the RS-3, 7, 10, 25, 35, and 41's.

  8. After landing a deal on an upgrade, it's time for me to part ways with this unit.  Just have no need to keep one in my pile of stuff.

$400 shipped on this unit but am going to have this OBO considering the market on the unit right now.

I will ship it with all of the original accessories.  I will probably utilize one of the DT boxes, just because I was an idiot and for some reason threw out the box for this one.

  9. $140 is about the middle of the road price. They are the entry level first generation Synergy speaker. They're not poor quality, but nothing to write home about. Still, they should sound at least as good if not a little better than they current Reference line at Best Buy.
