  1. I like the sunset one...as spiders really creep me out
  2. Original boxes and all, everything looks and sounds great. Cheers!
  3. That is a Mitsubishi A6M Zero "Tora 101" demo plane.
  4. I prefer death at ground level myself. These pics were taken just last week, Reno east. Are you referring to yours (I hope - lol) ?
  5. Youthman's exactly right. I don't really enjoy Sony audio products (I think they're only decent when it comes to video personally) - but it might seem fine for you. I'd recommend looking at Yamaha, Pioneer, Onkyo, Denon or Marantz if it's a simple home theater setup.
  6. Okay, so tell me if I'm being stingy. The original deal was for the RC3II and the RS3II's for $300 plus $100 for shipping if they were in good condition. When discovered that one of the drivers was damaged on the RC3II, I made the offer of $250 with shipping, which he said shipping would have to be added on ($350 total). My counter offer is to $290 with shipping, or he meets me half way and I pay $190. Does this seem like a fair alternative or no?
  7. This was just for the surrounds and center. Thanks for the number on a new driver though was going to look into that too.
  8. Alright forum, here's a question and the answer might be that I'm paranoid: So this guy who is selling this RF-3 system in Chicago sent me pics of the drivers on his center and surrounds. The surrounds are in perfect condition - damn near flawless. The center is warped on one side. Now do I drop the deal ($250) or no? Main reason I'm worried is, he has one speaker warped and the others APPEAR fine, what are the chances of that being the case? Thanks
  9. Have the air show here this weekend along with a pair of F-22 Raptors. I'm hoping to get some pretty cool shots of those birds up there.
  10. Welcome Kent! Can't really go too wrong Klipsch-style. A lot of different members tend to have very different tastes in sound, so what may be best for you could be different from others. Most will tend to recommend Reference series speakers in small spaces though, from my understanding. I'm sure others will chime in. Have fun!
  11. Called the guy back today to let him know I couldn't do it if he wouldn't split it up...turns out someone else is interested in just the towers and sub - so I might actually be in luck!
  12. I got paid. Does that count? lol
  13. I can't assume this is an answer but, I have one barely noticeable dimple on one of my RF-3 drivers. The most likely culprit is that while I was cleaning the grills of the speakers my Labrador Retriever (who loves to wag his mammoth tail) smacked into it. My assumption is the small dimples are likely from minor impacts.
  14. I'm a History major in a doctorate program with second and tertiary majors in Art History and Political Science. I work as a researcher for my university for most of the 8 months I'm in class, but work for the Rock Island Arsenal in the summer in the base museum.
  15. I figured it'd be best to avoid. I am so picky with appearance I've stayed away anyway, but it's good to know my paranoia isn't misplaced. My understanding most of the time is these people don't know what they're talking about when they say "still sound great" in the description. Thanks!
  16. In my search for Klipsch speakers via craigslist and ebay, I've encountered a lot of deals that seem great when the images are small or the grills are fitted on the cabinet, only to be disappointed when they're removed. The biggest thing seems to be that the woofers suffer some major warping. My question is, what could possibly cause this to happen - what are these people doing? I can understand some minor dents, but everything else just doesn't make sense. Ideas?
  17. Yes, the entire 3 series has a II version. @billybob - I'm looking for RC-3's and RS-3's - preferably II's, but from what I've seen the specs are identical between the two.
  18. I wish someone would break a system up.
  19. Haha...right on. I would have loved to have em myself, but...the poor college student thing makes it hard.
  20. http://iowacity.craigslist.org/ele/4604729904.html Not sure it's an amazing deal, but considering the retail of each...
  21. Bummer! But I understand. lol I'd love to see some pictures of them still, I've seen the towers go for around $350, the center for about $190, the surrounds for $250, I think you could easily do the whole set for around $1200 though and others on here are probably more educated than I on what pricetags should be.
