  1. The Cornwall was made in 1981 and the Scala was made in 1979. Prices depend severely on condition. Cornwalls are between $500-1000. The CBR means Cornwall Birch Raw, which I think is the lowest valued finish, but can be desirable if you like it. The Scalas are also Birch Raw. Scalas tend to be $1000-2500 depending on finish. Some people do amazing things to finish over the birch plywood on speakers.

The cane is somewhat stained @001. A light scrubbing did not improve. Also the board that the cane is stapled to, needs replacing.

Sounds like you are replacing the grill board. Carefully remove the cane fabric and hand wash it in a tub with warm water and a mild detergent. I've done it to cane grills from heresies. I use Woolite detergent. I used a fabric brush as well to clean the fabric, they came out so much better after. Good luck

  3. I've sanded black finish from Klipsch speakers. The speaker looks like it's oak, but may be walnut. I've used a water based black stain mixed with black dye 50/50. I do a couple of coats of that, then after it dries, I put a coat or two of wax. An issue with changing the color could be if the speakers are not consecutive serial numbers, you may have different wood specie veneers under the black finish.

You'd probably be hard pressed to discern any difference between the Daytons and Sonicaps. I've used both and can't tell a difference in the sound.

So I recently did A+B comparisons between Crites built Types AA crossovers and stock Type AA crossovers with JEM caps on Belles. The Crites crossover with the sonicaps were significantly brighter compared to the JEM.

We then compared stock Type AA crossovers with Dayton Audio capacitors against stock Type AA crossovers with JEM caps on La Scalas. The Daytons were a little duller compared to the JEMs. I'm not trying to influence any brand over another, just saying my experiences. There's nothing wrong with going cheap with the Daytons.

In the end, you probably won't be comparing them to other caps like I did.

Hi how much are you asking for it???

I am also located in sydney Australia. I would of course have to include postage costs.
    thanks

I would need $105 USD plus shipping cost. I am not making money on this, this is how much I have into the passive radiator. I thought it would be a good idea for me to have a spare.
