  1. Bush, Congrats on the upcoming union. Just remember this, "Yes Dear, you're right" will fix just about anything! Cheers!
  2. Well said Dave! But I still want that beer!
  3. This is an interesting project. "Shake the riser for the back row", would it be possible to port out the back side of the riser and reflect off the rear wall? Or build the risers with a sub countersunk with enough room for xmax under each seating position. Just a thought... That will be a cool project! Just make sure to build it "modular" as to be able to bring to your future new home
  4. And my Wife thinks our HT has too much bass! LOL! You've got me beat!
  5. Agreed. I have used their wire as well both the karma and KL3 types. Very good product and pricing.
  6. Would (1) 18" subwoofer work good for a outdoor buried application? Say, near the pool?
  7. I doubt dust is collecting anywhere in your basement with that much firepower. Just crank it up and "poof" no more dust.
  8. Congrats. Have fun setting it all up!
  9. I'm gonna throw this out there concerning a conversation I had with a A/V installer on how "he" installs ceiling speakers when you don't have easy access to prewire. When the sheetrock is already installed and finished, he cuts a straight path to the location with a skill saw, with "blue" tap on the guide to minimize markings, just deep enough to house the speaker wire and some sheetrock mud. Note: this method will incur some mudding, sanding, painting, but you will have in-ceiling mounted speakers if there's no access from above. Give this some consideration if you have "smooth" finished ceilings and a bit handy.
  10. I for one am happy to see you "looking" into this! I know you already have a sweet set-up. Scrappy, you will def love your system even more!
  11. That seems to be my issue. If watching at a low to mid volume, the center just doesn't keep up, but if I turn it up say -12db it's back to inline with the rest of the system, but that's too loud for the family.
  12. I will try that this weekend,. Unfortunately, I have not been able to run Audyssey MultEQ XT32 yet. Fingers crossed that my kids will be quiet for 20 minutes or so!
  13. I think the simpliest answer might be that "my" hearing is not as good as it use to be. Sucks getting older in that respect.
  14. Just to mention, there are (2) different adjustments on the AV7702 that can be made: Dialogue and then speaker input level. Even though the adjustment has made the RB-81II center better, I can't help but wonder what's out there that will give a more intense experience to match the rest of my system? I have reading about the The 88 Special offered by the diysoundgroup. I'm interested in getting one and testing it. My only drawback would be that, the box would need to be veneered to resemble the "black" Klipsch color. Any thoughts?
  15. It's a volume matching issue. At lower listening volumes, the center doesn't perform as well as at higher volumes. I have increased the center to a max of +12db on the dialogue and input and has made a very nice increase. I'm going to tweak it some more with different sources for more testing before considering a center speaker change as this dialogue tweak has produced a positive result. Thanks Guys!!
  16. Today I hooked up the RB-61II's in series and then in parallel to compare to the existing RB-81II. I did not notice a difference that would warrant the change.
  17. Oh yeah, she's Hot for sure, oh my bad, you were talking about the subs, lol...Joking aside, she doesn't like it as high volume as I do.
  18. My guess would be to use a "Y" adapter to both the inputs of the amplifer so both are receiving the same signal.
  19. That's right Derrick. I can't fit a 82 under the TV. I know might say that the 64 is not voice or timbre matched, but I would like to have better dialogue. My beautiful wife says "Turn the subs down", but I have them less than flat!
  20. I have not heard the modules, but I do have 4 In-ceiling speakers and really do love it. Tonight I was listening to the Dolby Atmos disc with the audio only files that go back and forth from 5.1 to Atmos, and there's such a big difference in the envelopment of sound you hear with Atmos. You probably can't go wrong with either the modules or the in-ceiling, IMO.
