  1. Bought my Denon there--works great--got a great deal---Happy Happy Happy.
  2. Hey Aaron--if it's any comfort--my Synergy Numbers are Not Sequential and I'm doing just fine. Time to sit back and enjoy knowing you're in good company. I wonder who will flame me first....Synergy--HA.
  3. If the dealer had 2 pairs--then the error could be there--the dealer might not know how important the numbers are to Klipsch buyers.
  4. I have a 1200 and have power to spare---not an issue for me.
  5. Awesome Score---They look Great---Gotta play the wife some Christmas Tunes.
  6. He included an ad with a sketch which depicted Klipsch Products. His item did Not resemble products in ad--Now you tell me......
  7. You look it up---try to see a picture if it--that was my point--if your product and the picture does NOT match---it is probably not what you thought it was--but you do Not call it what you thought it was anyway--that's deceptive.
  8. Well--with the WWW being available to anyone with a phone or computer, it's pretty easy to look up ANY product and probably see a picture so you can at least claim some validity for your product you're hawking om E-Bay. In the information age--stupidity is less of an excuse.
  9. Buy The 1964 Clipshorn on E-Bay and use the "Tuning Box" to make them both sound the same----
  10. It might be a "Clipshorn"--it unclips you from your money. With that "Tuning Box" on top, I thought it might be a 64 Bose 901.
  11. My system sounds good at low volume or high volume. Loud speakers do not have to be turned up loud to sound good if they are set up properly. I tend to listen louder when alone--but when the room is occupied with others I generally do not turn it up too loud unless asked. At moderate volume levels--my system has Great Sound Texture.
  12. This is really a stupid conversation--why would you have to get the wife and kids out to re-calibrate? Something is very wrong here.
  13. Yes, one thing you can try is backing them off from ZERO--take the calibration into the NEGATIVE Numbers. Set them to Negative 3 or a little more until the highs are not so Piercing to your ears. If this works you might not have to use the Tone Controls to alter the sound. It will change the sound some and might be more pleasing to your ears.
  14. are you running your AVR with the sound set to all speakers at Zero--so all the levels are the same?
  15. So it's just these speakers and Not reproduced sound from other speakers? The question is if it is these speakers or your ears---- before you proceed.
  16. We're up at 3 AM talking about this guy's speakers while he's probably catching some Z'sssssss in a soft feather bed---What's wrong with us?
  17. All I'm saying is it is the operators fault--If you go into the menu and set your speakers to plus 12 and turn em up they're gonna sound bad---these speakers--IMHO are not just plug and play.
  18. I really have to disagree with many of these ideas that you have about Klipsch "Entry Level" speakers. I would Not run a R 28F as a "Small Speaker"-- they do have dual 8 inch drivers and while they're not the same drivers found in the reference series---they're not really a Slouch for low sound either. My entry level Synergy have dual 6&1/2 cones and can dig pretty deep and still sound good. The entry level Klipsch have a decent top end but not the best because of the cheap crossovers and the tweeters but, you know, that can be fixed by someone putting forth a little effort to tweek. Yeah, some of us should have bought reference speakers from the start--but some of us didn't. he has a "decent speaker" but he needs to set his electronics up properly to get the best sound from his speakers and he didn't do that. At least he's not trying to power them from his phone. I power mine with a 80 Watt Denon--running 5 .1 and don't have any under powering issues. I do think it is his settings that are making his speakers sound like chit.
  19. While the R-28F is an entry level speaker---With a little adjustment to the AVR it can sound quite good. I'm suggesting you have not set the AVR to make these speakers sound good---turn the gain down for one thing, Plus 12 is gonna make your speakers sound like crap. I have a Denon and it plays my Synergy just fine but I do Not use the Dynamic EQ. I manually EQ for my personal taste and my room acoustics and that includes the gain also. It might take some Thought and some experimentation but with the right settings, those speakers should sound acceptable---Good Luck.
  20. IMHO---I THINK DENON SOUNDS BETTER THAN YAMAHA. I bought a X1200W from accesories4 less--referb and run my sound with no problem and the quality is fine.
  21. Speaker wire----knuts and bolts---screws--- I'll let it all go for $75.00 to the first caller.
