. I've had my CIIs now for about 3 weeks. Last night I sat down for a session and started out with some new to me Aimee Mann, nice not bad at all then I que'd up Reasons Why: The Very Best of Nickel Creek something I am very familiar with. I cranked up the volume and the Fisher was nice and warmed up. Chills and Thrills, no one ever says anything like this but due to the soundstage, clarity and shear musicality along with a fantastic performance, that probably topped my listening experience. Can't wait to pop JD Souther's Blackrose album on tonight. These speakers are really outstanding I must say. .

Do your self a favor and get a good phono stage, something equal to the rest of your LP Gear. Look at Graham Slee for example

Yes it's an isolated plinth The base is 2 x 6 walnut with a 1 inch rabbit around the inside. The deck is bamboo and rests on sorbothane balls that have been cut in half and sit iin the rabbit and on the corner reinforcing blocks. That arm is an SME 3009 Series II Improved with a Shure V15III and Jico SAS Stylus. My other arm is a Hadcock GH228 with AT Pro14S Shibata. .

My recently resto modded 400 sounds freaking glorious with Chorus IIs. So much so that the Mac MX113/MC2505 sitting right next to it is getting no use. Without sub you may find the 500 a tad thin on the bottom with Heresys .
