  1. I see the RF-7ii is on sale. It is also on low stock from Crutchfield and Amazon. Generally, Amazon will state that more are on the way - but not this time. Will these be going away soon? If so, is there a replacement coming? Will there be any home-speakers made in the US besides the Heritage line? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Are those the ones Klipsch said he wished his name wasn't on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Is that box a little smaller? If so, wouldn't the bass response be a bit higher? 70hz range? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I wrote in early morning for all 3, no response yet.
  5. The restorations look fantastic. I'd love to actually hear most of what he has shown on his YouTube channel.
  6. Can you post some pics of the speakers?
  7. Had to work from home today, so I deemed this my office this time around.
  8. +1. Plenty of time to learn the characteristics of the tubes and see what you like. Some give major differences, some not so much.
  9. Grab the Klipsch cocktail and enjoy!
  10. Jay responded to my same question about the 450c and said go for it. It is holding my ~60lb 60" LCD just fine. No problem with vibration; the cabinet is very solid. TV on top of an RP-450c https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/162965-TV-on-top-of-an-RP-450c
  11. How far are you from CT? I'll take those horrible looking things off your hands. In all seriousness, if they sound amazing, I wouldn't pay that much attention and plates could always be ordered. Or, it could make you a little less nervous around them since they have a mark. Close your eyes and enjoy probably one of the best sounding speakers made.
  12. For movies, I'd say have it set to small. Takes a large load off the amp and removes tough low frequency information from the speakers. Music, large should be fine. No one with a 2 channel setup with an integrated amp has the choice for "large" or "small". Your speakers get everything from music. The terms came about from movies/receivers.
  13. Why would he have to set the front stage to large? I have my RP450C set to small and 60hz crossover. The 150s are only rated to 48, so I don't think there's much reason to set them to large; there will just be a lot of bass information that they won't play. I doubt they'll blow though, unless the amp starts running into problems. I would imagine either 150 or 160 would be better than the home theater in a box speakers. Waiting for the money for the 160s may be a better option though, as many have said those are the sweet-spot for music. Call around for prices, and the 160 probably won't be much more expensive.
  14. Ok, I've covered myself in furniture pads. The sound feels more itchy.
  15. I'm going to Home Depot to buy 100 round furniture pads. Will my sound be holographic?
  16. We all know acoustic paneling and treatments are real and work when done properly. I cannot, however, figure out how a company lives with itself when proposing picture frames and furniture pads as real treatments. ...interesting how they don't explain what or how these panels and dots do the magical things they do... http://www.synergisticresearch.com/new-uef-acoustic-panels-and-uef-acoustic-dots/
  17. How could a Klipschorn come out on top against that? Have you heard this ? I have....sound good? not so much! Well, if I had my camera, I would show you how a Klipschorn could come out on top of that.....but.....the puddle of blood & plastic under the Khorn wouldn't be pretty. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Of course a khorn would sonically, and physically, crush anything Bose.
  18. How could a Klipschorn come out on top against that?
  19. A heated debate in some circles, but I vote for the Altec 19. I love Klipsch, but the Altec 19 is the best overall speaker I have ever heard. Since so much of sound is our own personal preference, I'm sure many would vote for the Klipschorn.
  20. I've heard the monitor audio platinums. The center won't stand a chance at keeping up with your palladiums.
  21. The DTS master of Star Wars was pretty awesome. Animated movies seem pretty buttoned up too, probably due to a very controlled environment.
