  1. Hello All, I recently purchased 2x K-402-MF horns. I understand the "best option" for my LF bass cab would be a Jubilee but unfortunately that's not available at the moment and I'm not certain I could afford it right now if it were. I have a local connection on 2 LF cabinets and drivers and I wanted to get some experiences with anyone that has owned them. I was looking at the JBL 4508 loaded with JBL 2226's (also have a line on some JBL 2235s) or the Klispch KPT-904-LF loaded with the K-45. They will be playing 60 - 600hz with 48db xo's, I will have the ability to EQ. I'm sure both will do the job effectively but just wanted to get your opinions on those that have heard or owned them. Cost of the cabinets and drivers are close enough that it is not an issue. Thanks -Justin
  2. Yes it's from Tim's Warehouse. Like @Zim. was saying, i wouldn't call it immaculate. He has things coming and going all the time from old stadiums and theaters, dust comes with that territory. If you looking for some mid-bass punch he's got a lot for you. I believe it's the midrange driver on the horn. I have a set of Radian 651BePB's I'm going to place on them for a 2 channel setup eventually.
  3. Never mind, found one locally in St. Louis. Been looking for used 402 horns for over a year and 2 singles pop up in a week. Amazing.
  4. If you're interested PM me http://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649387391-clementine-kt88-set-amplifier/
  5. I picked up a single 402 w/ driver and stands (also crack) today. Everything else had sold, wish i had seen the listing sooner. If anyone wants to sell their set for a profit to me I'm buying. You can even keep the driver if you'd like. Looks like I'm going to harbor freight soon to buy a plastic welder.
  6. Maybe look at the PS Audio Direct Stream Junior. I enjoy mine a lot.
  7. Anyone on the forum have experience with Marchand crossovers? I'm looking into using them with a Jubilee build i'm planning. http://www.marchandelec.com/xm44.html
  8. KT88 SET Integrated for $1000. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7Cqb4ccTog6VkZmLThoSXMzSUU
  9. $2500 with tubes. The 300b tubes are Sophia electric carbon plate the other tubes are Sophia electric grade A 6sn7https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7Cqb4ccTog6RG1IRzIxekNGLTg
  10. I do not unfortunately but plan to build either 1 of the Skhorns or 2 of the Othorns in the next year. I know of a builder that will do the Othorn for $950 finished and the Skhorn for $1800 finished. That doesn't include drivers which there are many 18"/21" options ranging from budget to super expensive 21" B&C iPAL. With that dumb driver the Skhorn will max burst 99.8 SPL @ 12.5 Hz lol. Obviously there are more budget friendly options for DIY, but no doubting these things will rock.
  11. Look into a Othorn or Skhorn. Plans and cut sheets link below. These are both horn loaded options and have a very good reputation. Also you have the ability to use a higher end driver if you wish. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7Cqb4ccTog6V1RIOE1OMGp5Sk0 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7Cqb4ccTog6WEJneHV2X0RIZ28
  12. I don't believe my existing equipment is fully balanced. They do have XLR's which i enjoy (and i already have the cables). A sub woofer out is also nice but i'm finding that i may not need them with my most recent build. If i do i'm going to build an Othorn or Skhorn which can pull double duty with the theater i'm building. I wasn't aware that Audio Nirvana made a pre-amp. Are we speaking of the same company with Dave Dicks?
  13. I was able to get the drivers installed, xo's wired, dsp completed, and music played last night. The beryllium high frequency is some of the best i've ever heard.
  14. I really would like an Atma-Sphere Mp-3, however with the new project I'm running short on fundage. http://www.atma-sphere.com/Products/#MP-3
  15. The PS Audio Junior is hands down the best dac i've owned or heard. I've had a Benchmark Dac2 and an Eastern Electric Minimax Plus DAC's in the past. Having there new Bridge II already installed on it makes for incorporating your library and using Roon or Tidal a breeze. The ability to upgrade the DSJ was a big selling point for me too. I haven't received my Radian 5215Be's yet. Currently using my Tekton Pendragons as a place holder. I do however have the cabinets in place and ready for them. Radian needs to get on their horse and ship them already. I'll give a quick listening impression whenever i have them going. The cabs are Bentwood Horns corner horn loaded with a 15" diameter. Thought about going for a Horn/CD but was just too interested in the Coaxial Radian.
  16. I'm needing some help deciding on a pre-amp for my new setup. A few things that i require are listed below. I prefer to purchase on the used market but i'm not against buying new if it's within my budget. System so far: PC running Tidal/Hi-Rez DSD -> PS Audio Directwave Jr. -> Hypex Ncore NC400's -> DIY Corner loaded Radian RADIAN 5215Be's Needed Features on Pre Amp - Balanced XLR In/Out -Tuuuuuuuubes -Under $1500 -Subwoofer out/bass management (would be a bonus but not needed) Some examples i have been looking at so far are: AUDIO RESEARCH LS15, Schiit Freya, Cary Audio SLP 03, Cary Audio SLP-2002, Sonic Frontiers Line 2. If you have any other pre's that I'm not aware of with a positive experience i would love to hear them or any experience with the above listed pre's. Thanks for your time.

  19. Dang wish i saw this earlier. Just purchased a DIY kit for the Hypex Ncore NC400's.
  20. I'm selling my EV DC-One 2in/6out DSP/XO. This has done everything i needed it to do and the software is very easy to use. I utilized this on a DIY 3 way project i had using Altec bass bins, Dave Harris Eliptrac horns, TAD 4002's, and some home made subs. Also included in the sale is an Acer laptop with the Electro-Voice XO/DSP software already loaded onto it. This PC is nothing special but it does the job, and runs on windows 7. There software does not run on windows 10 which i learned while setting everything up. I build PC's and Cyrpto mining rigs for a side job and this laptop is wiped of all bloatware, only EV software is loaded. FYI you can utilize the DC-One's screen to adjust settings as well. Specs and EV's description below. $750 $650 shipped to US, buyer to cover 3% PP fee. Will accept friends and family. EV's Website description: Based on a 2-in, 6-out topology, the DC-One is a rackmountable loudspeaker controller from Electro-Voice designed primarily for users of small-to-medium sized sound systems in both mobile and installed applications. Based on a powerful SHARC processor, it is 100% compatible with all settings from other Electro-Voice signal processors. Includes software for optional control via a PC.A large part of EV DC-One's development was aimed at ensuring that users can easily handle its serious digital horsepower and high-end audio performance. Though free PC-Editor software is available, the DC-One speaker controller can be easily operated via the front panel. Direct access buttons, 6 predefined configuration modes (1 being free configuration), straightforward output delay settings, and true professional metering all allow for safe operation. The DC-One's unique front-panel access control allows the user to select a personal library of accessible presets (out of 60 factory and 20 user presets). In addition, the user can determine which individual parameters in each preset are locked (e.g. factory predefined output parameters) or editable (e.g. master EQ or delay settings). The EV DC-One has a 19" chassis that is deep enough to match typical amplifier depths, a front-panel USB connector for the PC-Editor, and accepts either analog or digital (AES-EBU) input signals; a 6-dB input pad is available. The RS232 on the rear also provides 8 contact closures for preset changes or allows 2 units to be linked for larger systems. The PC-Editor software, as well as firmware updates allowing additional functions, will be available on Electro-Voice's website. 21. His place is great. He gets a tractor truck load of equipment in every so often so it's a revolving stock. Last time i was there he had received all of the replaced sound system at the Pittsburgh Steelers Hines Field equipment. I've purchased some JBL drivers from him, good to work with and will let you explore the stock.
  22. If you decide to split it up, i'd be interested in the K402. Can paypal today, would need to ship to US however
  23. That's correct: (2) Altec 817A Cabinets (4) JBL 2226 drivers
