@jimjimboBuckley is just shy of Traverse City - the wine country of the upper West Michigan region if you will. That's gotta be closer to a 5 hour drive for you. I can make that trip in 2-1/2 to 3 hours, but surely not without additional information in the forefront. On the other hand, I do have some business to attend to in Manistee which would put me within 1 hour. Maybe I should just summon additional local eyes for a quick assessment?

Wow, those look to be in excellent condition based upon the tag photo. Very little to no fading of the original ink. Those appear to be manufactured on the 85th day of 1963 - Speaker number 149. Hopefully the other is either 148 or 150 so you have a matching, consecutive numbered pair. Yep, 55 year old speakers and surely still sounding awesome.

I saw some 901's today at a flea market - I mean roadside table stand. Although they were in decent condition, they smelled heavily of smoke and were also bargain priced at.........$500 for the pair.

If you find "Item Description" & click on it, that will take you to the bait & switch page with their stated true pricing. I'd still be very wary of sending off any funds without verification of condition, location, etc. Some thought these were indeed bogus ads posted on hacked accounts to show impeccable seller ratings. "if it seems to good to be true, it probably is....."
