  1. I am pretty sure they only make that finish on the Forte. You are right they look great and they should make the Sixes in distressed oak.
  2. No worries. Maybe i should have expressed myself clearer.πŸ˜‰ I think i'll look elsewhere for room correction then.
  3. I would be using it as a streamer. Isn't that the sole purpose of the thing? πŸ˜› I wouldn't usually look to Paradigm for a streamer but the room correction got me curious.
  4. I don't care about multiroom at all. I am more interested in the room cerrection and general sound quality.

    Jamo C109

Thanks. Maybe i should stay with Klipsch.

    Jamo C109

I know, i saw the new studio. They might in fact be why i got this great offer. I don't really like all this ''lots of small drivers'' stuff though. And yes they used to be danish i think. Back then i was told that they had problems with the drivers falling apart within a few years though.
  7. Just came across a good offer on a Paradigm PW Link. I didn't know this existed. (I know, my bad) Does anyone own or know about this.? What about room correction?

Well then. How do they compare to pretty much anything of the newer Klipsch stuff? I know that aint a fair comparison but i haven't heard anything of the old Klipsch for a while.

    Jamo C109

Well, i was offered the pair for about 1000 usd. I don't really have somewhere to put them. But they are cheap. Very cheap compared to EU prices.
  10. Hey. Was just wondering if anyone have heard the Jamo C109 against a pair of anything Klipsch. I got a really good offer on a pair but i have to drive after them so it would be nice with some input. Don't know if they are worth the drive.
  11. It propably will. If you time it right and buy just before they run out of stock. The old Rf line were pretty cheap for a few weeks when the Rp line came out.
  12. I'm with you on that one. The walnut version looks great. I just think they went to crazy with the whole copper think on the new Rp. Was there any othet new subwoofers, like the Heritage they talked about last year? And does anyone know if they upgraded the tweeter and woofers or did they just play around with venting and stuff?
  13. I know. That would be a pretty stupid move on their part when the Rp is only about 30% of the priceπŸ˜‰ I just like the Rp280 and i can't seem to get myself to switch my Rf7 ll out with a pair of lll just yet. I would however consider switching my rp280 out with a new pair if i like the new ones. I don't really like the design though. I might change my mind when i see some videos or other pictures.
  14. Am i the only one excited about the new reference line? I have been keeping an eye out for the Rf7 lll all year. But these could be very interesting too i think. Although not so much if it is just a small makeover to the rp280.
  15. Well, although you propably won't need to play any louder then what you can now you should know that the Rp280 are pretty good speakers, better than their price point in my oppinion. So i would try something like a nad c375 or something similar. They sound great with that and you should be able to find one cheap. Even a new one that has been marked down because of the C388. Not saying that it is absolutely necessary. Just saying that you might want to try it out. Maybe borrow a Rotel RA-1572 from a local dealer?
  16. I would have recommended to take a listen to both Sonica and CXN. You should be able to find the CXN at a good price because they just released a CXN V2. But to be honest, the Bluesound Node 2 might very well be just as good in your system and a lot cheaper. So i would give that a listen first of all.
  17. Interesting idea. Report back if you do it please.
  18. I used to drive a pair with an old Hk3490 . They cost next to nothing used and they are decent little receivers. If going new, check out something like the Yamaha RS-700 or the Onkyo TX8270. Just to mention a few decent options. Stay away from the new HK gear. I don't like receivers in general though. Why not just get a stereo integrated and some standalone box with network playback, Spotify, Tidal and internet radio?

    Happy Holidays

Hey everyone. Just wanted to say thanks for all the new stuff i learned this year and just in general being the best hifi related forum i know. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ☺
  20. What do you mean ''wireless''?
  21. I have been using Spotify for a few years. Never had any problems nor have i ever heard about anyone who have experienced anything other than a very easy to use app with a huge catalogue. And i am pretty sure that i only know a few people who don't use Spotify. If you are using a decent system it is worth noticing that Tidal HiFi has better sound quality. I use Spotify for convenience and Tidal/streaming from NAS for more serious listening.
  22. About 650 sq feet. It's around 28x23. I don't really sit. I got a pool table, some dart boards, a bar, a motor bike and two couches in there. And it is very well insulated and i have a couple hundred yards to the nearest neighbor. If you can see where i'm going. πŸ˜‰
  23. They might be efficient but they do like power. And yeah i have been told that i have a tendency to go a bit nuts with the whole power thing.. πŸ˜›
  24. You are right about that. And you could also be right about the 50 watts. That was kinda what i thought. But it would be good to know for sure. If nothing else then just to be on the safe side. I know that i might not push them that far but better safe then sorry.
