  1. I turned 64 today... thought this was appropriate lol …
  2. Silicone will seal forever if you sand the old crunchy off... but this one sided self adhesive tape is more user friendly....
  3. The dual connectors resemble an Eminense K33E Klipsch replacement speaker... connect your multimeter to the speaker, disconnected from the crossover, for a reading...
  4. ,,, o O (Bob has some excellent Type A Crossovers for your Listening Experience with the new Cast Frame 15" Woofers)
  5. …. o O (Cool Project Continuation on a relatively mild weathered day off with OSB)
  6. Same thing I was thinking... there are better safe's to be had.. although I don't know which one... but we have a piece of scrap metal to . ahhhh… to.. gather some cutting efficiencies ie…. and garner thought's about a tumbler next time "around"...
  7. I'd wager... he mean's "a cat" - which can be remedied by becoming a monster yourself, and scaring the cat away lol, thus, no more counter guest's
  8. I was sitting at a bar last week, and a dude was talking about his gun safe... He claimed it was the biggest safe with 9 or something bolt locks around the door, but he still bolted it to the ground... and I listened a little more without mentioning any of the remedies I've heard here... LIKE, hey, do you have a cannon... but he added that he knew thieves knock them over and cut out the bottom first... so it would seem that we should have a video forth-coming of a trashed and unusable safe with a reciprocating saw blade test, compliments of your son's trials and tribulations....
  9. … o O (PPSL = Push Pull Slot Loading ?) … I had to finally look up what this mean's
  10. update on chasing the AMT sound by a diy approach... I modified a plunge router circle cutting jig to hold an older craftsman... drilled a hole on the inside edge of my pencil mark on the motorboard, to start the router, and made about 5 cut's,,, going about an 1/8" deep each revolution... I made the final cut using a 6 5/8" radius at full depth, for a 13 1/4" cut-out, going into the foam board underneath. One thing I did was screw down the cut out piece to my table to hold the pivot point stationary, and clamp the outer edges of the motorboard, to hold the board from moving. This coming Friday, I'm going for the port's on the other end of the motorboard.... thinking about leaving the center cut out of the project, due to the philosophy of the Roger Floth article (where he blocks the middle) and just installing the port shelf with the other three blocks attached with screws. Have to make a decent jig again to control the router path lol..... cheer's
  11. … definitely too many brands out there... I'll buy a weird beer every once in a while.... ahhh like this, just to see the packaging technique lol
  12. The guy I call for sheetrock & texture repair is named Juan too lol ….
  13. … o O (133 year old beer technology) … it's strange to think that when I had my first beer 50 yr's ago, free from my friends parents garage refrigerator, somehow I wished that Schlitz would figure out how to step up their game... but I'm pleased with Dos Equis these day's, however they do it....
  14. The front grill cloth is stapled to the motorboard - however, can you remove the back panel for a further examination of the components in their historical perspective? Earlier in the first post, there was a request for information - I found this exert from a @WMcD reply back in 2014.... https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/150483-request-experienced-advice-1968-h700-heresy-speakers-on-ebay/
  15. ,,,, o O (to err on the side of caution) = a calm 1/2 cup of coffee x 4...
  16. Thanks, I realized I had R Floth's "Equalizing the Cornwall" already, after reading some info this morning... I think one way to use my philosophical approach here, is having these "lifesavers" handy...( to use afterwards when needed)... but in essence, this listening experience from another point of view is building with wood and adding braces to feel the improvements over time... my goal is not necessarily the lowest bass on earth, but the cleanest reproduction... a sturdy cabinet worthy of dreadnoughts' scalloped bracing with Jimi Hendrix's finest intermixed with how simple capacitors and Air Motion Transducer's reflect...
  17. Mahindra maybe ? Feb 11, 2019 - the CC&C Tractor Page
  18. … o O (if that question is to me, I'll jump in) ... internal volume = currently unknown, but hopefully "spot on" the CW 1.5 spec ... ports = 3 rectangles cut 2 and 3/16" x 6 and 7/8" into the bottom of the 34 and 1/4" x 23 and 7/8" motorboard under a nine & half inch shelf sitting on 2 and 3/8" supports glued three and 1/8" off the floor, with 3/4" x 3/4" notches cut into the front edges, and... with the 15" cast frame Crites woofer (to be) as close to the top of the cabinet as possible.... with no mid or HF cut-outs involved... thoughts = quite a range of more unknowns, so like 1 could be a wooden closet rod in the middle of the inside of the cabinet for a brace or a 45 degree mid mounted shelf with holes drilled in it, to make a "cattle rustler" lol for the back pressure undecided about drilling a hole in the top of the cabinet to make a wire to the AMT-1 (which just make's me think of a new crossover idea) which I won't type because it seems embarrassing, however, it doesn't matter until I try it, which could resemble a thought about a double spade connector on the back door....
  19. ...o O (we need to get ahold of Chad for a WooooHOOOoooo button lol)
  20. What'd he play, like a jazz song from the '40's or something out of the blue ?
  21. Thank you too @dtel , not much of a change in direction, that is, the big horn, I've got this theory, lol, just a second (refreshment pour)… somehow I want to hear how @Tarheel can hear without a cabinet, it's interesting... (that Spatial M3) but that's where the sawdust enters the picture down here -
