  1. Dory who ? well, whomever, wasn't the lady who invented the drive-thru metal speaker cover with numerous holes, which I might add to the mystery, could of been someone with a comic sense for squirrels, considering it has carried over to the general public as a punching bag over static confirmations...
  2. Fine 15" Klipsch Woofers, nice big speakers, usually followed with a letter indicating the details
  3. Ham Sandwich with coffee - No Ham Sandwich with a Jose Cuervo Margarita - Yes Ham Sandwich and chips with a cold glass of milk - Yes All of the above - on a paper plate
  4. I forgot to mention - that chocolate thing turned out to be a 2 scoop hot fudge sundae with nut's, and it hit the spot
  5. I like getting fresh sliced deli ham and turkey, along with a 1/2 lb of chicken salad just about every trip... I never thought about tipping, I just watch 'em weigh it out, the grocery store employee's there always remind me of the school cafeteria line... I seem inclined to shop around, I mean, I wouldn't be opposed to hooters opening a deli take out line...
  6. It'd be hard to imagine a forum for Drive thru speakers, along with the topic lasting over 3 minutes, including the tour through the drive thru speaker museum, consisting of bent and rusted metal plates
  7. I wonder why outdoor speakers in a drive-thru have a metal grill with holes in it, 1. People occasionally want to beat it 2. Keep Birds out 3. To make everyone look at it, so their order get's taken correctly
  8. not to say that I'm getting hungry for some reason, but I need to drive up to the Braums and see if they have any Klipsch speakers in the drive thru while I order a Chocolate ice cream thing....
  9. Earlier this evening, the memories about hearing a bus driver in the middle of the night, saying... "You've just jumped out of the fryin' pan, into the fire" as we crossed the swamp bridge into Parris Island, made me google quotes from the movie, Full Metal Jacket, I think I need to wash my eyes off, It sounded like one of the drill instructors in my platoon, but they didn't say that in the movie, on a bus, to my recollection lol
  10. After signing my name about 50 times and listening to the curtesy people standing in front of the paper signing podiums say "Hi me", I started saying hello back lol
  11. I got a merit badge in Boy Scouts about 55 year's ago, riding a Montgomery Wards bike modified into a sting ray, pedaling 20 miles around White Rock Lake,... the highlight was a stop at the Pop Hudleys Bait Shop and Pedalboats for a Hot Dog with Ketchup and Onions, Mmm mmmm…...
  12. 1954 #762 type K-357 with K-5-J #812, think that's a University tweeter, I just wanted to post a vote for a Klipsch Heritage re-issue, check yes !
  13. I think this would be categorized under the sub-topic "cables" because I saw a list of songs from back in the day.... however, Jimi died in 1970, but he was in the list *These first three song's, were a favorite evening ritual in my College day's, which radiated throughout my old Victorian Cottage I rented, while cooking Chicken Fried Steak on an antique 40" OKeefe & Merrit Oven, listening to a Kenwood Receiver, spinning a Dual 1228 Group Song Time * Rolling Stones Can't you Hear me Knocking 7:14 * Steve Miller Seasons 3:50 * Fleetwood Mac Future Games 8:15 Ventures Walk Don't Run 2:02 Faces Around the Plynth 5:58 Pure Prairie League Angel #9 4:55 Blind Faith Sea of Joy 5:22 Delbert McClinton Autograph 3:45 Stevie Nicks Landslide 3:48 The Moody Blues Lovely to See You 2:34 Jimmy Buffett A pirate looks at 40 3:57 Eagles Take it Easy 3:29 Jimi Hendrix May this be Love 2:55 …what if there was a station that wasn't roped into the confines of a generic listening audience, perhaps some day in the future, we'll hear a set like this, from Hank to Hendrix. In the mean time, you may see why I drive people crazy, with my 2nd hour of selected favorites. It's hard to even find a Juke Box like this Hank Williams, Sr I'm so Lonesome I could Cry Guy Clark the Randall Knife Max Stallings Sparks Adam Carroll the Snow Cone Man Lucidia Williams Car Wheels on a Gravel Road Marshall Tucker 24 Hours at a Time Lynyrd Skynyrd Free Bird ZZ Top I need you Tonight Nirvana Come as you Are Rush Working Man Jimi Hendrix Changes from Band of Gypsys If hour three rolled around, I would lock the studio door's, and plug in the generator, so I couldn't be stopped...… these tunes would emanate thru the walls. I use emanate, with reasonable expatiations, because I used to own a pair of Klipsch LaScalla Speakers. I found them in the classifieds one weekend, and went to see them in this couples apartment, and the guy was definitely a stereo freak, and his wife, not. I understood the minute after he turned them up, to display their efficiency, that they were the Worlds finest Speaker, because his wife came in and slapped the crap out of him, for making too much noise at 9PM. Jimi Hendrix Machine Gun I from Isle of Wight Johnny Winter Johnny B Goode Rolling Stones Midnight Rambler from Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out ! Ten Years After Goin Home from Woodstock Led Zeppelin in my Time of Dying from Physical Graffiti Robin Trower Victims of the Fury Black Sabbath Iron Man Doors Light my Fire U2 With or Without You Pink Floyd Us and Them Jimi Hendrix Hear my Train a Comin' from Rainbow Bridge I like to end With a Jimi Hendrix Tune, because each of his song's end like a plane coming in for a landing, and then it's over.
  14. Do you let your application of blue window cleaner dry by itself, or is your rag blue afterwards, or do you use something blue, because your windshield is becoming tinted it sounds like.... Had to work most all day today, and that's all I could think about, except I'm glad too, that beer isn't blue
  15. Early Monday Morning - 3SEP18 - gently waving
  16. Can honestly say, I've never even been down an aisle that had a boxed up Moccamaster… but would generally believe that it would begin in the garage with a vise, then proceed with a string or cable, a couple of pullies, a video or two, all while sipping on a hot Mr Coffee, Hey !!! Have a Great Labor Day Holiday Ya'll
  17. If I be da judge... Yes lol ...reminded me of the time at my daughters wedding reception in Bandera, (ahhh, I'm suppose to know this stuff, probably 2010) I was down in the Hill Country, and they had a left-over keg of beer, so dang, I emptied out a couple of water bottles, and filled 'em back up, went back to the B&B, feet up, outside looking into the sky, and tried my best, nevertheless, I won't do that again... Last week, Speakin' bout drinkin', I looked for Mayorga bean coffee, but just found a 5 lb bag for $33... that didn't tide well with my budget, having never sampled any..., so I bellied up to the Quick Trip Gas station for a $6 bag of convenience store ground coffee, off the back shelf, in the back, where one of those racks is, that should have a label indicating - try at your own risk... 12oz, packaged like a grocery store marketing marvel, but, It's pretty good, will be better tomorrow morning, when I load up Mr Coffee, again ---> insert extra comma , lol 10 after 10 Central daylight time, perhaps 10 gauge romex cable
  18. me too... cheers ! I usually wait till 5pm...
  19. 350 mm is 13 3/4" depth by the published standards in the owners manual, vintage hifi com has a nice download page.... I've been thinking, that if you just remove the top plastic dust cover and it's accompanying brackets, that your TT replacement will readily "drop-in" The owners manual has the wiring information printed in the event disassembly has commenced, if the table saw is speaking to you... Have a great day
  20. Emile, just in case you're looking at your table saw..... saw a whole 1/4" off the front of your newly acquired vintage Marantz and save it, that way I don't have to make another post about fixing your power cord and rca jacks.....
  21. New thought available.... 1. Since the Marantz will become part of the console.... 2. Use your table saw to trim an 1/8" off the front and the back of the TT base (please do not hurt me lol) 3. Drop into your console like a greased eel slipping down a wet drain pipe....
  22. It's been pretty hot in Texas this summer.... to make life easier, I moved the couch to the garage and laid out my cabinet project across the Den floor... nevertheless, Thursday morning around here starts out with my Dewalt flashlight and a Sprinkler head observation at 4:30, it seems to get chilly walking down the sidewalk to check the head's along the curb, The neighborhood HOA has the timer... and the trashcan has to be out by 7 - check, 2 cup's all done, coffee filter dumped, now, somehow, I need to get to work through the morning traffic, never a dull moment around here lol
  23. I thought you were talking about pure H2O... I was eating some baby back ribs and a whole chunk fell off the side of a bone, so I gave it to my 22 lb cat, definitely pre-handled....
