Austrian sarong?
-
@grasshopper did Doris Day sing about your garment of choice? I seem to recall “Que Sarong Sarong . . .”

Although starting this prior to surgery last Tuesday, thanks to my wife’s good sense, I left it at home and took the Grisham paperback instead. I’ll finish this while being forced to rest this week.
-
Truth be told my wife got this for me to take to the hospital on Tuesday. It was an excellent choice; not heavy in either a gravitational or a literary way. I was able to finish it prior to Wednesday’s discharge. FWIW, I read the paperback version, not an audio edition.

A gift from our younger son to assist me to get me through convalescence after prostate surgery last Tuesday.

Hudsonville is in West Michigan ~ equidistant from Detroit and Chicago.

I used the product linked below. Don’t forget gravity is also your friend in this situation. https://www.parts-express.com/Speaker-Gasketing-Tape-1-8-x-1-2-x-50-ft.-Roll-260-542

Where in Michigan? -
The Guinness world record is 134F/56.7C in Death Valley, CA, USA. Something is terribly wrong when Canadians are dealing with Death Valley type temperatures in their homes.
-
How alarming and sad to think of those unable to escape such dangerous heat.

I too just got home today from The University of Michigan Hospital and HoLEP surgery yesterday. I feel great. If you have BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia), an enlarged prostate affecting urinary function, I highly recommend the procedure and the institution. Thanks to U of M Hospital, this Spartan can now more easily GO YELLOW.

For me 1960. As a former Spartan wrestler, I love it that Sparty has beaten the Buckeyes in football, during a period that the Wolverines have not.
-
Although born in Cincinnati, I don't consider myself a Buckeye. Haven't lived in Ohio for six decades.
-
The staff couldn't be nicer. They are nice to me and nice to each other. No one is officious or the least bit arrogant. This place is in sharp contrast to the last hospital I was in. That said, I wouldn't want to be in here on a football Saturday; I couldn't even pretend to root for the Wolverines.

I thought of you when a nurse looked at my gown and said, "You're not used to wearing a dress, are you?"
-
So far, no sexy nurses or doctors, but the staff is uniformly pleasant and helpful.
-
Actually, the chicken quesadilla, chips and fruit cup for lunch were quite good. I wouldn't come here just for the food, but it's not bad.
-
Thanks to all for well wishes. I'm told the procedure went well. I feel OK. Stuck in bed with input and output tubes until tomorrow.

Yes, Tuesday 6/29. Arrive by 6:15 am for appointment at 7:00am, with surgery 1-3 hours. Discharge Wednesday after 11:00am.

My prostate is too large for UroLift or ReZum both of which are offered at The University of Michigan Hospital. My surgeon will perform HoLEP surgery on my 92 gram prostate. Thanks for your well wishes.
-
Yea. Too bad. Where in Michigan were you?

Thanks! I’ll gladly pay shipping.
