Pizza? My grandmother [Sicilian] pizza was mostly bread. Just enough sauce to hold the very light dusting of cheese and herbs. Normally baked, but stove top was not unusual. Cast iron pans ... gotta love 'em I like more stuff ... hers were VERY good. There are box mix pizza kits. My mom used AppianWay. There are others. Frozen bread dough is pretty good. when I was in HI, I was asked to ride herd on the night shift No thank you. I have seen those guys in action. I choose to remain "just one of the crew". There is something to be said for not having to sign off on everything. A lot less stress.

I can see that for cooking on a woodstove. They half lock on the edge of the burner of the electric. We have a 5gal dutch oven, may be larger [cauldron w/lid] ... came with the house. Has been repaired a couple times and is in need again. It sits out in the yard along with a lot of other oddball things the original owner dragged here.

Hi BSM fast food is shrimp, steak or fish. Saute some veggies while the protein is thawing. Takes a few minutes to cook the "meat". You are eating good in 15min and for less than a trip to McD's.

I have an electric stove. The pans with the ridge don't sit on the burners nice.

I use a dutch oven. It's primary use is chili/spaghetti sauce. The tight/er sealing lid makes good for simmering in it. IF I don't want that taste in what I am cooking, I will resort to soap in it. Ewwww I presume y'all have seen the bamboo brush that is traditionally used to clean a wok?

my chili would have been in cast iron. Spaghetti sauce goes in cast iron also

Wife was feeling lucky. not me ... I never get lucky anymore ... so we spent $300 on one of those hospital mega raffles. 20:1 odds of winning something I figure IF we win, if will be a trip to a place neither of us has any desire to go. say Africa or the middle east

wife and I have had countless go-rounds about how my cast iron should be taken care of. She wouldn't have stopped until it was a rusted mess. Now She will use it. and like it. Cleaning it is all me. I'm OK with her not...
