Feeling like a Dentist now pulling out this one that almost EVERY one had to have in 1972. Seals & Crofts #7 hit "Summer Breeze." Easy smooth US stuff as we moved out of the British Invasion and tried to take root again here in the US. THAT never really happened though cause those pesky Brits seemed to hang around with sooo many great artists who are still here today thank goodness!

Sam the Sham & the Pharoah's started pressing records to sell @ gigs in Memphis in 1964 and BOOM! "Wooly Bully!" MGM picked them up and shazaaam 3 million copies and their first Gold #2 hit right in the middle of the British invasion! The longest Billboard top 40 US hit in 1965 lasting for 18 weeks. Billboard's "Number One Record of the Year" even though it never hit #1. It held that spot for 35 years until Faith Hill's "Breathe" took it in 2000.

Welllll, was feelin it and saw this "Color of Money" soundtrack layin out and couldn't remember if I'd played it so threw it on. Great movie and soundtrack from about 1986. Mitch Ryder fresh outta Detroit with this album in 1967. That funky Motown sound and so controversial with some of his hits like "Ring My Bell, Sock it to me Baby, Little Latin Lupe Lu, and Devil with a Blue Dress On" There it was all beat up callin my name. Needs a MAJOR cleanin but still works for me! First person I thought of was @Thebes!

Wrestling was just "on" the BTN so I just left the remote lay. Had the system cranked here and was playing solitaire while listening. Yea, just leave that solitaire comment in the bag. I know it's there but... Buckeye's got killed yesterday. Huggins picked up on Holtmann's step out on the offensive shots and now everyone knows the weakness in their offense plus they're just stinking it up on both ends of the floor. He'll sort it hopefully. Can't bench 3 players and win games either.

Watched OSU defeat Wisconsin tonight in wrestling. Buckeyes go at noon tomorrow. Coach Holtmann didn't waste much time w/3 of them. Who knows what happened but he won't play any games. We'll see what shakes I guess.

IF OSU had gotten by Clemson I think we would have beat LSU. Just my opinion though. Our Zone 6 defensive coverage is MUCH better than LSU's. it shut down Clemson for the most part. The Zone 6 receivers are much better than LSU's and were better than Clemson's. Thing was ya can't leave points on the field it's in the LOSS column. You score every time you have the ball then it's in the WIN column. Joe has the quick drop to a science AND has the mobility to throw well on the run AND in the pocket. Fields has all of those qualities except he's a pin-point passer where as Joe's great just not as sharp. Joe's not gonna like going to Cincy but he IS gonna love the crowd and playing close to home. Clemson to him was just another notch in the headboard!

Genius I tell ya. Sheer genius! lol Clemson had zero chance of beating LSU IF LSU played mistake free and Joe threw the ball. The NCAA HAS to change that targeting rule though. Soooo many kids are hit w/targeting calls that really aren't targeting calls. First time it's 15 and the second time your gone. Officials were on the money just as Joe was. Great ball game and NOLA is gonna be rockin tonight! Wonder what affect the win is gonna do for Joe's food pantry. Soooo Go Tigers! lol

A bit of a Neil Peart wake Sunday. FINALLY got my Nils Lofgren Live album. NORMALLY I can take or leave acoustic guitar but this album IS pretty darn incredible! Can't seem to get enough of it! Clean, crisp and tight EVERY where!
