Those blue horns are cool looking. I would like to hear them.
I don't live too far from Homosassa, FL. I would be willing to go check any of these out, and possibly pick them up and store them for anyone on the board that is interested.
The word "Homosassa" in Seminole Indian language means "Place of the Whiskey".

Good question. Even the excellent link provided by the cool Frenchman with a taste for American cars is 1kHz oriented. I'll fix that and start another thread for it. : )
@Langston, I have an odd thought for you. Is it possible to put these inductors in a Faraday cage to help eliminate coupling and cross talk? That would be interesting to see.
Would a small(ish) ferrous metal box that surrounds the inductor do the same thing in the magnetic spectrum that a traditional copper mesh cage does for the electrical fields?
Or did I misunderstand what you said above?: If you mean by "mutual inductance" the presence of nearby ferrous material or unmodulated magnetic fields (driver magnets), you're probably right and it's on the dog.

Wow, I was not expecting this. I was talking with him not too long ago about working on his project to bring the Amiga PC platform back to life.
RIP Dave.

All they need are the Cylon light strips rolling back and forth. The only taste they have goes no higher than the tongue.

Guess you could just replace the one after you check out the other, just to compare the Delta...
It just so happens that I have a couple here at the house.

With all of the tax changes implemented in the last 6 months of the prior administration, the IRS did not have time to code up the automation for those changes. They have held 30ish million returns for hand processing.
I ran a project with them back in 2012, where I automated their new single taxpayer system. We had reduced processing time from 9-12 weeks down to a week and a half. Then the "Sequester" was signed, kicking all contractors out the door. The only people left were the direct employees, who did not do the work. Things have backslid since then.

I see nothing listed about the Klipsch KP-600's. I see nothing listed about the early Pro Cornwall AKA the CP-1. I see nothing listed about the Klipsch KPT=1502 or the KPT-1802. I see nothing listed about the Jubilee. I see nothing listed about the MCM grand, etc.

How about KPT-100? KP-101?

The woofer in the cabinet on the right looks like it has seen better days.
Part of the project would include replacing both woofers, as they seem old and a bit worse for wear. The spot on the front of the cabinet appears to be dirt and not damage, so I'm not worried about that particularly. The Eminence Delta Pro 12-A has proven itself to be a great replacement woofer at less than $150, that can handle gobs of power.

Those Heresys appear to have the fiberglass coating. They will clean up like new. Easily worth the $800 by themselves.
They do have a fiberglass outer shell. I wish I had the extra dosh to go pick this pile up.

Hi; know you asked @jimjimbo but thought you might want my input also Mine are about 8 ft apart, listening position 10-20 ft away. Room size 15 x 25 x 9, but "open" on one side. Have/had Fortes, CF-3's, KG4/5's, many Heresies, etc. They replaced Cornwalls I had in this position before. These blow them all away Using a Crown K1 amp (350W/ch) with a Nikko Beta II preamp on them and often crank them to over 110dB's (I think) .. but also very refined on low volume. Wide range of music ... awesome on Freddy Mercury / Queen, Beethoven's 9th (which has to be played LOUD) and Pavarotti's Nessum Dorma to give you a couple of examples. Pretty sure these JBL's have a similar response ... haha; go get them and try it
Cheers, Emile
I can attest to Emile's description, having heard his system. Fantastic sound, regardless of volume. I am guessing they are a bit higher than 110db.

I have a pair of unmolested (I think) KB WO speakers -with AA Crossovers. S/N 125255/125256
What is the consensus opinion on whether to upgrade the Woofers - or not, and whether to upgrade the AA Crossovers - or not.
Welcome to the board! Glad to have you here.
I really can't answer your question, other than using an active crossover setup allows you to dial in the sound that is right for your particular speakers and room (and ears!). They are something you might look into, as there are a ton of threads about it here.

Hello all, just bought a pair of cf4 v3.
Sold my Rf7 mk2, and havent really heard the cf4 before any one that have heard both of these care to comment?
Welcome to the boards! You're the latest inductee to the Epic Owners Club.
I've not heard the RF7's, but I will tell you that I am immensely happy with my CF-3's. The CF-4's have been favorably compared to the Klipschorn.

I don't understand why you would want to cross in front of the listening position either, so I would also like to know the reasoning behind this.
I use a long T-square to help aim my speakers... The cross piece is placed firmly on the top back of the speaker, and the 3' rule is then aimed directly at the listening spot so that I absolutely know that it is aimed directly at the listening position of my head. Shims are used to bring either the front or back of the speaker up, effectively raising or lowering the aiming spot of the mid horn (which is the most important audio frequency range to me!).
Now I will reveal my hidden shame to the world: I was a "sound guy" back in my youth, and I was living in the farthest south you can get in North Carolina. Due south of Charlotte, in fact. I had a secondary job as a bouncer in a topless establishment, but my primary job during the day was as the "sound guy" for Heritage USA, which was directly over the state line in South Carolina.
That's right, I worked for Jim and Tammy Bakker.
They had a few venues on the property where I was required to work the mixing boards, troubleshoot issues, and generally keep things running smoothly. There was the TV studio/auditorium (which means room or area for listening in Latin!), the water park, and the outdoor amphitheater where they performed plays in the round. It looked identical to the historical Roman outdoor amphitheaters.
(If this doesn't shift the topic, I don't know what will...)
If anyone has any questions, please post them here. I will answer all that I can. Remind me to talk about fixing the sound problem for "The Coasters" at a live venue, and being asked to hang out and party with them that night after the show. Cognac and Dom were the primary catalysts for spontaneous music and humor. Then they started making "mixed drinks" (as they called them...), consisting of Cognac with Dom on top in a 1/3rd - 2/3rds ratio. Very similar to my grandfathers' Canadian - 7 mixes every night (but with a LOT more kick!).
