1. I found the listing for these, and thought someone on here would be interested... https://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/ele/d/klipsch-kp-362-pro-version/6734420915.html
2. Try the picture hosting method in my signature below. It's quick and easy, plus there are no size limitations.
3. I believe he was asking if you were going to sell the convertors. The TotalDACs.
4. This would probably be the issue. I have a surround receiver that loses all settings when disconnected from a power source. You have to go into the menu and tell it that you are using a sub, and what frequency you want the cutoff to be.
5. That's one incredibly nice offer. Kudos!

7. @noviygera This would do better in the general forum, rather than this one that is aimed at the Klipsch Professional products. Good luck with your search.
8. I thought that I should offer a trade here before modifying BEC's beautiful work to build the crossovers that I need. I picked up this pair of A - 4500 on eBay, where someone added what looked to be capacitors across the posts for the tweeters. No permanent changes were made, no solder used. The extra capacitors were easily removed simply by loosening the screws, and putting the positive tweeter wire back on the correct connector. The crossovers are back to bone stock now, just the way Mr. Crites ships them out. These have 3636 autoformers that can be adjusted in 1DB increments. This is a nice upgrade from the Klipsch T2A autoformers that can only be adjusted by 3DB at a time. What I need is a pair of Cornwall II or KP-301 X-overs for my project. Ping me if you are interested! If I don't get a response within a week, I won't feel bad using the 4500's for parts. The first pic is what I received today in the box, and the second is what they now look like.
9. I would be interested in that information as well. Thank you VERY much, in advance!
10. I got them as empty cabs. The drivers were sold before I came along, so I will get to choose what goes back in them. Do you have any suggestions? I believe that the model designation for the cabs are KP-1000’s.
11. Thanks, I am always interested in different things. Learn things by doing. Try something new. Use cool old tech for something unusual, and see if I can make it work. Can I build a pair of Cornwall 2’s (or their equivalent Pro version) inexpensively? I think so, but there’s only one way to find out...
12. I would say to buy the 301's. You will not lose any money if you don't like them. Having the KP-3002's as my desktop speakers has been a blast. But I will bet you $20 that you will love them. I will not be selling any of my pro stuff anytime soon. I am having too much fun with them. The pro line seems to have better build quality, and more involved crossovers to protect the drivers, and they are built to withstand life on the road. As opposed to the veneered cousins...
13. I think I would put in a standing order with Klipsch. One new pair of K-horns a month. For a year. And hold a giveaway on this site, where all active users can enter once, and a random drawing made to determine the winner each month. That's after my own music room of course, Khorns and Jubes for each speaker location, along with a dozen pinball machines. Maybe a small arcade collection as well. And I can't forget the Hemi Superbird. And a '71 HemiCuda convertible. Plum Crazy Purple, Please. How much would it cost to buy the Klipsch company outright? I just might have to...
14. Typically, this is handled by a Load Balancer, basically a router that will send a new network request over the least busy transmission line. When you send out a request on a network, like a web request for https://www.microsoft.com, that request and any downloads only happen on one network. You have a protocol named TCP, which is the "Transmission Control Protocol", and it does a handshake between your machine and the remote server only on one network. Where a balancer comes in handy is when you are running multiple sessions on one user's desktop, or multiple desktops on your local network. Using a load balancer will speed up your downloads overall.
15. For anyone that is interested: I took two of the organ 100w amps, and connected them to the pre-outs on the 7.1 surround system. I then plugged them into the two Super Heresy, and magic happened. The Heresy pair came alive. I mean, some serious music volume. Great sound. I could add just enough gain to balance the levels of the Heresy to the KP-3002 I am using as my mains. Or crank them way the heck up. It's amazing. If you run into some Allen Organ Co. amplifiers in your travels, pick them up because they are inexpensive (These are the S-100 model). They are fun to play with, and I believe that they are truly "old school" 100w RMS. The Onkyo surround system boasts 110w per channel, but I don't believe it. Now, using the Onkyo for the pre-outs and these little amps for the power, it's awe inspiring. Little shivers, the whole deal. *<;o) They are impressive looking to boot. Caps larger than Red Bull cans, almost the size of Coke cans. And the coils would look at home attached to an electrical service, or on the power pole. I can't afford the level of tube amp that I would like, so this scratches that itch, in a way.
16. Now I am very interested in your opinion about the 2’s compared to the 3’s. I’ve had my 3’s now for a while, and thinking about some 2’s for a surround setup...
17. Congratulations! Is this your first set of Epics?
18. Sure did. Hosting copies myself in a few seconds. Changed the OP to my screen shots.
19. I found a local auction that has these in the sale. Anyone seen these, or have any experience with them?
20. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MATCHED-PAIR-Klipsch-KG4-Model-KD-12-Passive-Radiator-Speaker-USA-8748-UnPowered/372270916736?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D5a0d02d4b70940c989b16e79586e287a%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D173589198511%26itm%3D372270916736&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
21. I forgot to add the most interesting bit: Each of these speakers will get their own dedicated 100W amp (Out of an Allen Organ): @carlthess40 I successfully tested one of the amps (like the one above) that I picked up from you. Even using a crappy iphone headphone jack and a splitter going from that to two RCA channels, these amps crank. I need to plug it into a higher powered speaker now, and a cleaner music source.
22. So here is my plan, please poke holes in it as needed (I would really appreciate the feedback): My starting point is the two Pro cabs that I picked up from Carl, and I will build a couple of extra boxes with the same carpet that will sit on top of these two 15" woofer cabs. These boxes will house the K-601/K-57 driver combo, and the K-79 and horns, along with the crossovers. I will have a couple of 5-way posts on the back of the top boxes to take the woofer signals to the larger cabs below, as well as a pair for the inputs, of course.
23. That's what I thought, especially after pricing out all the requisite parts to try and build my own. Do you think that I should look at the Cornscala type setup for this build? I haven't done any research on those yet.
24. I picked up a pair of K-79 tweeters and horns from a set of KP-301's. I'm assuming that the 301's are the Pro version of the Cornwall 2? In addition, I also got the K-601 horns and the K-57 drivers to go with them. I picked them up from Reverb.com for $155 all in. I had started to look at building my own crossovers to the Cornwall 2 specs, but with the prices on the autoformers and the 2.5mH inductors it was cheaper to buy the Crites as a starting point at $104 total, including shipping. Now all I will have to buy are the bits and pieces to convert the crossovers to either Cornwall 2 specs, or so it seems to me. Am I off base here?
