  1. Don't fear the peeper!I threw them down a hole into some acid in an atempt to rid the planet of these awful, delicious, sugar coated demons.
  2. Thanks, same to you! p.s. love peeps,I'm having purple today.
  3. Yes there are musical/non musical subs. The klipsch rsw 12/15 are very good with music.I've owned a few of the other HIGHLY touted 1500.00 or less subs, and while great with ht,they were imo not very musical. The way I interpret musicality is when the sub recreates the drum, bass etc..realisticly,just as the instrument actually sounds. The non musical subs do ok on explosions, rumble, vibrate floors. When you hear a truly musical sub you WILL know, the bass and drums will come to a lifelike sound.Just try the rsw 12/15 and you'll see what musical is.I just got a Ted Nugent double dvd and the rsw 15 really kicks out the jams to insane levels at half volume.
  4. Funny how we all hear different things,I recently had a chance to buy a yamaha rxv1 for 500.00 bucks(3k original). It could not even perform as well as my old 3802(bedroom set up) imo.I've owned yamaha and Denon, never had a problem with either.
  5. Move over Bose, there's a new kid on the block.Congrats JD,you could teach Bose a few things about marketing.
  6. They look like they would work great, this is what we all been waitin' on.1k seems like a real bargain,I'm in(the biz of making them I wish).
  7. I can hardly wait for pics of the MOAS.
  8. Hey Dale,I totally agree on the shielded cables, that's a scientific fact.
  9. Cedar chihihips, sorry,No commehehehnt! Oh wait,I did hear of a guy that tried grass with good results.
  10. As MOST of us know the Webmaster is not bias against anyone(we're customers),we have pretty much all had our say.The line was crossed by Kain, over and over.
  11. Nexis galaxy,part of the matrix,I love it,BEST explanation I've heard.

    SACD

If you want to hear what your system can do, get a dvd multi player,dvd-a,sacd.They start at about 400.00 US and a nice unit about 1k(yamaha s2300).BOTH formats are great and offer the best reproduction you've likely ever heard.I know there is a big debate but I don't know why(both are far superior). This competition to provide the best quality recordings makes me VERY happy. If they stopped making either I would still be glad just to have the ones I do.
  14. MAY,2002,SOUND AND VISION,The rsw 15 is one of the best measuring sub woofers we've ever seen,Tom Nousaine. The rf7's made inner elements somehow more immediate, more clear edged, something I've noticed from excellent horn speakers like 50,000.00 a pair studio monitors,Tom Nousaine.I don't know much about Tom, but I do agree.
  15. Hey Yesfan,if you're still out there, you must be in heaven with Fragile on dvd-a!
  16. Yep,the s2300 is a well made(20lbs)multi player. It cost about .8 to 1k.This unit does everything well(for 1k).There are several reviews online if you look, yahoo etc..One note, for some reason the remote has no power button, for me this was a minor problem.
  17. Congrats on the 12,I had a 12,now a 15, and the 12 performed very well.If the 12 came in cherry I would have bought two. ps Great googally moogally.

    Dread Zeppelin ?

Hey Drummin, since you saw the live show you know what a hoot these guys are.The three shows I have seen have been outstandng, people coming from several states.I gotta confess I'm a huge fan(and I like the band too). You are correct they play quite good,Robert Plant said they were very entertaining.A friend and I took our wifes to a show, told them it was an Elvis impersonator gig.The TortElvis comes out and they are up close for "love me tender",he hits about a 150 db on the start of the immigrant song and they start to run!but then buttboy comes on stage in his undies and they return. great night! ahthankyaverymuch!
  19. Well since I have had the 2000tl's in my house for an a/b comparison I can give you one guys opinion.I had the rf7's for almost a year,I had an option to trade up for full value I paid.I got the 2000's on loan, did extensive listening, and really liked em'.BUT,when you go back to the klipsch everything sounded lively, crisp and just more detailed. The money difference was about 1k(which I was fully prepared to pay)but even an even trade would have been a tough decision. In the end I suppose I'm hooked on the horns.
  20. I'm a little confused, why if sound level/quality is an issue, do you listen to mp3?A big fat clean amp to listen to mp3?I would think mp3 would be better on a kenwood with jensen speakers imho.

    Dread Zeppelin ?

Just curious if "any" or how many of you have ever heard of DZ? They have been around for about 15 yrs and 10 cd's,5 video's.They play Zeppelin songs,a few other Rock classics and the singer(TortElvis)sings/looks like Elvis on heavy medication.
  22. Well, you are going to have a great set up,the 3803 and Klipsch are a very good match. The rc7 is one of the best centers I have heard and the rs7's also very good, the rsw 12 also impressive.Use 12 or 14 guage ofc.(biwire optional),good middle quality ic's(monster etcc.),at least a good basic surge protect. The closer to the corner, the better your speakers should sound, experiment with sub placement from corner out.Calibrate system with spl meter and enjoy!
