mOOn, It's wooden floor boards, you can't really tell in the pics, once the carpet goes in it will sound alot better.(a week or so). I don't have the RF's hooked up right now, just enjoying my last few days with the La Scalas. The guy is coming to pick them up this week. I'm sure you are going to have replies like monster wire etc... In my opinion just make sure it is fairly large guage, nothing smaller than 16 guage. More importantly, make sure the connections are solid. Looks like the tops have been customized. Probably for easier transporting. They should have the original crossovers remounted inside the mid-tweeter assembly somewhere. Might be a little tight. You would be sitting about 7' away from the LAS. Yea they are too deep. I know I am going to start a war here, but it's proven that speaker wire does not make much of a differece. If it did, than La Scalas would come with a connection that you didn't have to have a microscope and a pair of tweezers to connect.(unless the genius Klipsh designers of the 70's & 80's were on dope). Has anyone ever tried to hook up monster cable to the connecters. Tell me you have been sucesfull. I like U2, I'll have to get the DVD and let er rip, I've always thought there CD's were kind of boomy and the lower mid too strong. I can never crank there tunes like I can with others, too noisy, though I like there music. They are both great speakers.
