the 1981 origin is stunning, loving this movie .....
  2. That´s exacly mirrors my own experience on modern Klipsch Speakers. Furthermore the german AUDIO magazine has certified the Klipsch RF-82 II floorstander as one of the few of its kind that works well with tube amps. This is due to the very good efficiency of this speaker, which also helps the less powerful tubes to achieve an appropriate presence. Thus the Klipsch in the studio of "AUDIO" showed a dynamic that one would not have expected from subtle tubes. Since the price of the speaker is within the range, it deserves the title "Outstanding price/performance".
  3. A hybrid solution is a good idea, cause you´ve got the precision from the transisitor pre amp stage and the power amp tube stage. That´s in general is a fine combination, as I´m using my Marantz PM11-S3 and two Cayin Monotube Amplifiere on my RF7 MK II SE in the same combination. Soundwise it´s some steps ahead. Klipsch Speakers loved to be fired with an tube amplifier. So I ´ll recommend doing it.

  6. Night Colors..... A random photography. These are the light reflections of the Christmas lights in the kitchen, photographed through a glass. It was taken by a random movement in front of the window, I saw the light reflections in the glass and thought, this is worth a photo.
  7. The japanese Company Mogami Cables is one of the world's leading cable suppliers for studio and stage technology. Products from Mogami are always a good choice. For me personally I prefer copper wires with silver coating. I also use solder with 4 % Silvercontent, because it can be processed very well.
  8. Sorry, missed that ...indeed ...I´m using ferrules before sticking into a plug. Examples are shown on page 2

maybe the problem is caused to to double connection analog rca & optical together, disconnect the optical first and use rca / analog only, if it doesn´t work change to the opposite and disconnect the rca / analog and use optical only. ymtc as I´m not familliar with your gear ...
  17. In europe, yes is dependent on the V D E standards of electrical engineering. Power cables and plugs are not allowed to be soldered , must be crimped. Cinch cables with plugs must be soldered, for loudspeaker cables both can be used.
  18. can´t stop jazz´n today ..Ralph Towner " Diary " 1974 ECM Label
  19. If insufficient force is applied during crimping, or if the wrong crimping tool is used, the wires will be crimped insufficiently or incorrectly. As a result of faulty contacting, the contact resistance between the wire and the ferrule increases due to corrosion on the individual strands. There is also the risk that an incompletely crimped wire can be pulled out of the crimp barrel. Likewise, the crimp connection must not be compressed too much. If the compression is too strong or the crimping tool is too small, the cross sections of solid and fine-stranded wires can be reduced inadmissibly. Furthermore, if the pressing force is exceeded extremely, there is a risk that individual conductors may be sheared off in the case of fine-stranded wires. As a result, the current-carrying capacity of the connection decreases inadmissibly due to the reduced cross-section. In addition, the sleeve of the crimp connector can become unusable due to cracks or breakage.
