  1. I may refer to this thread / topic . These speakerfeets can be used for all kind of Klipsch Speakers .
  2. It's not over. I am currently experiencing it again in Germany, we have 4 districts that are completely under lock down and have to be controlled by the police. In Berlin, Magdeburg, Göttingen and Warendorf. In the last mentioned county is a huge meat products factory with employees from the eastern european countries. There alone there are 1,500 newly infected corona cases. In Berlin , the district is called " Neuköln " there are also over 800 new Corona Falls. There it is also a building construction settlement with mainly eastern european immigrants. I do not believe that we will get this problem under control before the end of 2021.Even in countries with very high health standards, such as Germany, we really cannot speak of a security situation.
  3. Guess he knows what he´s talking about .......
  4. and then directly afterwards the famous group " the talking heads " with probably the best music film of all times ...STOP MAKING SENSE The 1984 show offered by the "Talking Heads" at the Pantage Theatre in Los Angeles was one of the best that rock had to offer that year. David Byrne takes centre stage with his wild singing and his very own body language. The award-winning director Jonathan Demme ("Silence of the Lambs", "Philadelphia") dispensed with the usual clichés of the genre and concentrated on captivating the audience. The audience doesn't just watch a movie, they find themselves in a rock concert, clapping loudly after each song, dancing on the chairs and in front of the screen. Besides the unique performance of the "Talking Heads", the concert film with world-famous hits like "Psycho Killer", "Burning Down The House" or "Once in a Lifetime" is a real highlight in the history of music!

  8. @Dave1290, @KROCK, @JohnJ, @dirtmudd, @billybob, @Full Range You all get along well here again. Nice musical sessions from in the past few days. Seger, Bonamassa, Steward,Styx,Welsh Wilkenfeld is new to me and I find her quiet good, even if her lyrics seem´s to be a little bit psychodelic . Nice video productions.
  9. Oh, oh, oh, these are prices. But they are certainly rarities and then have their corresponding value with collectors. Speaking of prices for new and used records: Here in Europe the prices for vinyl have increased incredibly over the last 8 - 10 years. Good (near mint) LP's one gets rarely under 35 - 40 € / piece. New pressings of old plates are also around 30 - 40 € / piece. Around the year 2010 you could get records thrown at every corner for partly 0,50 €cent to max. 10 € / piece. Then the Dutch came and bought up almost all the stock. Since then you have to dig deeper into your pocket to buy a record. With CD`s the opposite happens (because of streaming providers), the prices fall and fall. So it is worthwhile to update the CD collection. Ja Ja it´s all about
  10. I was gonna save the toaster for @RandyH 000 but now you can have it...LoL

  15. Wait from now on a flood of @JohnJ Leo Kottke collection
  16. Yes, it is about decoupling the record from the turntable and the associated resonance reduction at the pickup. All in all, the pickup is more precise and therefore more detailed in the sampling. It's fine that you don't have a rubber mat on your Pro-Ject. After all, you want to get the most out of your components and for me, this has nothing to do with " audiophile snobbery. Also the static charge of a record ( crackling ) is minimized.
  17. Do you still have rubber mats on the turntables? I replaced my original Micro Seiki platter rubber mat years ago. The goal was to optimize the pickup's scanning behavior. Then I installed a " Transrotor " carbonacrylate plate in combination with a leather mat. The result was an audible improvement in the richness of detail when listening to a record. But this only works with tonearms with the possibility of vertical tracking angle, because then you have to align the tonearm parallel to the turntable, depending on the thickness of the support. I can highly recommend this "fine tuning". These are not the giant leaps of a sound improvement but, with records that you know very well, you can hear an improved reproduction quality. And these tuning measures are really not expensive. Therefore it is worth to take a few $ for it in the hand. There are different types of turntable mats, such as cork, carbon, felt and others. Which of these fits which turntable concept depends on the technical construction of the turntable. For Thorens or Linn concepts the cork mats fit very well, for turntables with a lot of metal the carbon / leather versions fit very well. This has nothing to do with " VOODOO ", I only describe my individual experiences from over 40 years of listening to records and I didn't want to withhold this information from you. Carbonacrylat Mat : and here with the leather mat over the carbonacrylat mat. http://www.analogis.eu/6119_en.html Should be available in the USA , as well !
  18. inspired by John Tropea's " short trip to space " thanks to @Full Range, I also listened to the legendary band " MFSB ". The album " Mysteries of the world " -the sound of philadelpiha- from 1980 is a classic of Jazz Funk.
