being more of a musican than a technical type... i hear and think pitches in notes... so could someone tell me what frequencies are what notes and how many frequencies to an octave? i know a low E on a bass guitar is 40hz... but i dont know how much lower say, 16hz is from that.

hot pink. go with hot pink. and neon orange stripes! and yellow 60's flowers! ooooo and put in some white stripes and use blacklights in front of them so they glow! then paint "Are you Experienced?" on the left one and on the right paint "With Klipsch?" in that groovy purple hendrix font on the front!!! and have some SERIOUSLY retro k-horns!!!

read the reviews for the Wilson WAMMS some made me crack up only because i personally beleve those speakers to be absolutly pointless. heard some WATT Puppies... personally i think hersies sound better >=)

i already have a maranetz SR4200 reciever, but this summer i should save up somewhere in the ballpark of 1600 dollars of spending money. this can either go to another guitar because i need one for shred/rock kina stuff like vai and striani because strats cant do much in that range... orrrr it can go to a hometheater. i'm leaning towards an HT what would you suggest i go for? (i'd need a sub too)

floorstanders are not superior to bookshelfs. they are almost always superior in bass output because of the nature of them (bigger cabinets, drives etc) but often bookshelfs will have clearer midrange, and better sounding highs than floorstanders because they dont have the bass frequencies mudding up the sound. if you have a "great" sub, then bookshelfs may actually wind up sounding better than what you currently have. what kind of sub is it?

heh, we have a 6" grand paino, i forget the type and dont wanna run upstairs... and an oldskool stienwey upright in our basment that looks like its straight outta a western tavern in an old movie >=) my current guitar is a G&L legacy... in my opinion one of the nicest strats out there... my first guitar was a Squire Strat... so the difference was like "WOOOOOW" even my guitar teacher is jealous of my guitar... its in a natural finish, with a brown tortious shell pickgaurd, and ivory toned pickup covers/knobs. *hugs guitar* my preciiiious...

80 watts really isnt that much power, if you think about the 1kw monoblocks used by some, 80 watts is nothing. plus keep in mind, tube amps are rated with much lower wattage because of the way they work, so a 10 watt tube amp wont drive a speaker 1/8th as powerfully as your SS amp is. -------------- also, what about when certain sounds, namly that of the "s" sound when sung becomeing very harsh. is that clipping?
