  1. How do I go about reactivating my old BB name?? Some time ago my ex-girlfriend's son was on my computer unbeknownst to me and made some nasty comments to other BB members...Upon discovering this I went into my profile and did my best to erase this identity...It worked and I was not able to log on anymore (or him) as MacKlipsch....I still followed this board but didn't post for a few months, then a few mos ago logged on as Bill Campbell (which is coincidently his name..lol....well...girlfriend and son are now gone and I want my old ID back, but the BB won't let me in....Can you please release the old name, or tell me how to change back?? Thanks, and my apologies to any board member offended by young master William Fred
  2. Allan, If there's non left from the ones you sent to Tom, could you stash me a set?? I can pick them up when I drop by in July when I'm visiting my brother in Cerritos.
  3. Allan, I wouldn't bother with such idiots. I, for one appreciate your vinyl knowledge both in here and the audio asylum. This forum seems to attract more of the flames and such. There are lots of good folks in here, but the asylum moderators seem to do a better job of limiting such behavior. I will be coming down your way in early July. Offer still open to drop in and take a listen to some of your collection?
  4. How cool would it be if AS burned us a copy from his way too cool LP??
  5. I'll take the Mac amps. Those are beauties, but 2 grand???? I don't think so.
  6. dndphishin, I have K-Horns and a Belle in the center. All ALK'd of course.
  7. I'm with you guys as far as the Mac stuff goes. Sure sounds sweet with Klipsch.
  8. I have 1 type AB network that I took out of my Belle when I replaced all 3 with ALK's....pay the shipping and it's yours
  9. And it's up near me. Oh dither. I'd be happy to go check them out if anyone is interested.
  10. You guys are right about some folks disappearing. What happened to MacKlipsch???
  11. This new BB runs faster, especially the search features
  12. Sure we play them. If you take care of your vinyl and use halfway decent equipment, these will give many more years of enjoyment. Cd's on the other hand......
  13. Welcome to the club Jim. Do you have a big enough room to make a Belle center channel feasable? That move would make Paul smile from his grave.
  14. I had 140w/side and that was far from enough, but that was a while ago and liked my tunes a ear bleeding levels. I have heard them with a McIntosh MC500 in a showroom a few years back, and that was very pleasing to the ear. Had plenty of headroom.
  15. Thanks Dean for the welcome. In the pre "hornie" days I had a pair of DQ-10's. Used lots of power as I remember. What are you planning on feeding them with?
  16. Speaking of overpriced: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1380288523 "only" $1800----LOL
  17. The "deep groove" in the label indicates that an old type stamper was being used to fabricate the records. Allmost all records being produced in the fifties - not only Blue Note, but also Prestige, Verve, Contemporary etc. - show a deep groove. In approximately 1962/1963 a new type of stamper was introduced, which did not produce a DG, but only a "seam" in the label. The deep groove Blue Note copies are popular among collectors because this is an indication it belongs to the first (or second) generation of records being pressed. Later copies were made with copies of stampers and are often less heavy than original pressings and hence sound inferior. Of course only the pre-1962/63 Blue Note originals display the deep groove. Later originals have a flat label (w/seam).
