  1. BTW nice looking room . Forte and Heresy are voiced close to identical , and both will have very similar output capability and dynamics.
  2. The Heresy is really by far the best center in your situation. With the Heresy center you would really have an awesome front stage. Audio racks are a dime a dozen, a really good set of speakers up front really is important , don’t let a audio rack compromise your system. 🤓
  3. Lascala’s are fantastic speakers , but when you change drivers and crossovers and horns and whatever ,it starts getting pretty hard to know what you may end up with. When you play a set of Lascala’s or Klipschorns you should immediately recognize that something special is going on .If not your room setup is probably wrong , they do require a decent size room, with good acoustics, and they aren’t really for near field listening . That’s the way I see it anyway.🤓
  4. You’ve got a nice collection of speakers there . Another solution to your problem , and it’s a little unusual, is to use 2 center channels, flanking your TV . This may sound strange but it actually works pretty well. You could test the idea with your Cornwalls or Chorus, you can run your centers in series if needed .It will give you a strong center image.
  5. A wise man told me a long time ago that the speakers mean everything , and you have Heresy IV’s so I’d say your 99 percent there , maybe 99.9 percent , your Yamaha is no slouch. But it’s still cool to buy new equipment 🤓
  6. I see your problem, another possibility would be to hang a speaker upside down over your TV along your angled wall .The speaker could be adjusted to aim to the listener .(Cornwall or Lascala)
  7. 4 HSU Tn 1220’s in rear corner
  8. With Lascala center Heresy II and Quartet surrounds
  9. What about reversing your layout , front stage to the window side ,cover the window, better off without it anyway . Tv over the Lascala,
  10. Maybe you could move the center out into the room far enough to clear the obstacle on the left. Then center the speaker ,Also maybe angle the center down to ear level .Unfortunately not centering the channel just won’t look right , regardless of what it sounds like.
  11. The Rp 8000 is a very fine speaker, that would be my choice. Placing the subwoofer in the rear corner could be a better option.I have had very good results doing this , I would not be concerned about the opening to hallway.
  12. Unfortunately anything other than a Lascala or Bell is a SERIOUS compromise to your fabulous Klipschorn mains. The best solution for myself was to move to a projector and place the Lascala behind the screen . Then you have the ultimate front stage .
  13. I’ve got a set of 1996 Lascala’s behind my movie screen, using one of them as a center channel .Big sound big stage ,yes !! ,Klipschorn and Lascala are in a league of their own . The Lascala is voiced like the Heresy ,so you kinda know what you’re getting.
  14. Congrats on your Klipschorn purchase , I bought a new set in 86 for stereo and they are now part of a home theater system. I agree with Soundbound Paul Klipsch did a fine job with the Klipschorn. If you have some bad caps , then change them out , my personal opinion is to stick with factory crossovers and horns , some want you to believe that they need to be modified , I don’t think so , they sound fantastic as built . I listened to a pair of supposedly upgraded Klipschorns and wasn’t impressed , I think they were downgraded, but everyone hears differently I suppose . Don’t listen to the naysayers, you’ve got some awesome speakers.
  15. Stock original Lascala’s are hard to beat, lots of people think that they can improve their sound , that is debatable, and subjective, I personally would pay a premium price for a set of nice originals . 🤓
