For shnits and giggles I messaged the seller and he informed me these take 10" drivers.

They do have very high end equipment. However they don't have many listening rooms or a ton of space - you'll see plenty speakers crammed inside the main rooms at times. I believe they have "nestled in" to this building some time ago. It was roughly 20 years ago that I went there in search of hi-fi and a gentleman by the name of Ernie was astonishingly accommodating; any piece of equipment I wanted to hear I could, whatever my budget was at the time didn't matter. I feel that's how things should be. I have had some difficulties purchasing items from them in the past few years but I can understand their need to sell the pair of Jubes. Sometimes "everything is for sale" and they have to move stock.

I will attempt to audition this pair before they're sold. It will quite possibly be the last chance I get to hear some Jubes.

Price has yo-yo'd a bit but now at $1k. Great deal for a set of pro's with huge impact.

it's a pro speaker so guessing the foam is acoustically transparent and meant to protect drivers from dust and whatever else gets thrown their way.

what progress have 12" woofers made over the past 30 years?

Serial # lookup shows 1998. So they're in the quarter century club - a candidate for new caps. I'm not looking to make these into SPL demons (I have another project that does that) but some more bass extension would definitely be nice to have.
