In all Honesty I think to be THX certified these days, all you have to have is something that has at least 1 button and lots of preety colors.... Serisouly those new monster cables that are like $25.00 that claim to be thx certified. Come on????!??!?!! my worst sounding piece of radio shack cable sounds better than that..... I don't know...... I used to really be a fan of THX but in the last couple of years or so they have just been slapping a certification on absolutley everything.... I think you should use whatever sounds better in your room. Every room is going to sound a lot different...... Therefore you should select the speakers that sound the best..... I mean in a small 10' by 10' room would anyone want to try and mount di or tripole speakers in there.... that size of a speaker may be a bit much.... I think speaker selection should be based on how you think it sounds and the acoustics of the rooom that they will be placed in.....

there is no end to speaker upgrades ever... i don't think that it is possibl to ever want to stop.... once you start its all inocent and just intrest, then it turns to obbsecion and must haves lol......

that is true.... i don't think any woman would be able to handle that... if i had that much stuff i'd be in heaven.... i would never be on this forum... i'd be to busy harrassing all of my speakers lol..... I am more than impressed..... I used to have a lot, but I sold it all to upgrade...... i wish i still had my kg2.2's those were old school... lol there is a funny story behind those speakers... me and my friend when we were kids were riding our bikes around and we saw the kg2.2's at the end of some guys driveway on garbage night.... now we were both like hey its ours for the taking you know? well we didn't think about it at the time but the guy had a big box tuck in his driveway... well to make a story short we took the speakers and a couple of weeks latter found out the guy had moved... lol oooopppps.... well i guess as kids we all did stuff

holy cow....... you have no idea how sweet that really is.... i like my system a lot but yours is definatly amazing... puts mine to shame lol... i am very impressed..... what does the mrs think of all of this? lol

exactly what is sound board? does it help to reduce rattling, because if it does I may need to invest. also how much does it cost..... thanks

Speaking of which, the only wireless speakers i have heard to begin with were of poor quality, but i would imagine that wireless speakers would sound terrible because the bass would be lost, and the highs would be muffled..... Like the radio. The other thing with wire less speakers is that they have to be in a certain operating range to be legal therefore cannot be placed far away fom your emmitter..... Unless you were to buid your own amp and attach that to the circuit rght before the anetnna.... i guess a couple hundred transistors or something could do the job lol.... Also I have no idea if this applies to stereo frequency's but in cell phones highfrequeny sounds have been known to change cells in the human body... not cancerous.... well not yet at least.... so I wonder if that would apply in that sense.... I doubt it but who knows...... totally off subject.....

Personally I would go with the onkyo txds 898, because that will better reproduce the sound... if you like the sound of onkyo this is the way to go. A lot of people that i know who buy onkyo do not like dennon.... just a thought. Persnally I am a fan of onkyo... another option would maybe be looking to integra... the sister company of onkyo only on a higher end.....

Ear- Like many people I have come to the understanding that you own more speakers and components than just about anyone on this site... I am wondering exactly how high that number really is and what you have. Also if you are married or what not, does the mrs or ms like you having absoluley any of that stuff?

no kidding, here I am watching these kids coming out and accomplishing something my team couldn't was preety speacil then watching my old coach collapse was preety intense, I have never seen a public building clear out that fast in my whole life.... aout 1600 people out in a record 5 min lol....

i'm still looking but what would you recomend? either 25 or 27.... i just need something to do the job and look good. thanks though.. that is the tv i was looking at, i thought it had a fuzzy screen but thats only because it had an anolog input at the time but i'm not sure

yeah i don't know, i got it dirctly hooked up from my dvd played, it is a rather long run though. I got lucky though in once sense. maybe you can help me with this. My main couch is right in front of my projector which sits inside a cabinet above my couch, so my expensive investment is safe and all you have to is open the door and watch your movie.... kind of, m problem is that the sound that the fan makes is annoyin espeacilly in dialouge you know? and the celieng is no good just because of the cable run... i don't know. The back panel of the cabinet was removed and there is about 4 feet of space behind te projector, my only thought would be to remove the top panel? I think that the white lines are because of my crappy dvd player... lol thanks guys

I own the quintets and mine came with the stands. When you buy the quintets the stands are supposed to be inlcuded. Why they were not included when you bought yours is very strange. Maybe try to ask klipsch why yours didn't come with them. I would go to london drug and ask why you didn't get them?!?!? A lot of people who move there quintets around a lot complain that the hex screw that holds them is really weak and breaks. I never move mine so i wouldn't know....

I need a tv just for watching tv, not for ht or anything speacil, i have a projector for that.... Anyways there is a 27' flat screen Zenith tv with component in and a few s-video and av inputs etc. I was wondering if people knew anything about the product and what they thought of the pic, its relativly inexpesive its between 600 and 675 i beleive, any input would be nice. Unfortnatly circuit city's website is down and i cannot ge the model number at this time

Well the pioneer elite one probably has one of the best digital converters for your digital out wether it be coxial or optical. Personally I would go with the coxial digital.... this is what is recomended for best sound by Onkyo and Integra. I know that the picture on the pioneer elites is really really nice when hooked up with a good hdtv, but based i really do not know to much about zenith

I would hang in there, last year, my high school cross country team won the state championships..... there was an awards assembly and my old asistant coach collapsed in front of the whole school and went into cardiac arrest. He almost died. Its been over a year and he has type 2 dibetes and is in almost the same situation. He is still going strong a year later and i don't know, i think that you will be able to pull through just like he did... and besides he didn't have a small army of klipsch lovers on his side like you do. we are all here for you

I own the quintets. And i have messed around with these baby's as you call them. The promedia's are actually a smaller speaker but they have banna plugs but they use a different piece of speaker cale. As far as I am aware, there are no ugrade woofers or tweeters. they probably will be expensive to fix though. My question to you is how did they get wrecked and how are they missing grills etc. The other thing if there are ugrade woofers and tweeters, you will probably have to change the cross over and the tweeter, so its basically like just using the encasement... which is preety worthless, if the woofers and tweeters and grills cost more than $39.00 to fix two than just throw them away and go to ubid.com and buy them. Everyone I tak to has paid $39.00 for the pair at ubid, so I would go that route if it costs more, unless you are really emtionally attached to your specific speakers.

The speakers at 4 ohms are going to mean that they are going to get more power. If i were you I would go with the kg2.2's for fronts and your kg2's for rears and something like kv2 for center.... i'm not a fan of the kg2.2's though, i had a pair, and to make them sound better.... i know this is a stretch, but i took them apart, redrilled the crossover board and wired the whole thing with monster xp cable, then if you place them high up... on there sides with out the grills on thats where you will get the best sound out of these speakers.

This is the most pathetic thing I've read in a while.... While in the forum I saw some discussion over Dolby and DTS so I did a little research on Dolby Labs. I think I may have a couple of theory's on why DTS sounds better. If you are all unaware of who Henry Kloss is, I shall explain.... FIRST the good.... As a Pioneer of Cleaner better sound, he decided to become a designer and technition for Dolby Labs and in i think 1968 he and his partners released Dolby noise cancellation A & B to the world. This is rather impressive since at the time obviously..... Good Sound standards were a lot lower. SECOND and now for the bad.... Henry Kloss is also the founder of KLH.... I firmly believe that KLH is the worst sounding crap on the face of the earth. They are worse than bose, sony sound, cerwin vega's low end stuff... etc. So through time I think that KLH sound has somewhere been mixed in with the sound of DOLBY DIGITAL, ad whereas DTS as far as I know so far has never been polluted with the disgusting distortion of KLH.... Just a thought.... i found it interesting, and I honestly think that my theory may be true, because as argued DD doesn't have the full bodied sound or as good of a sound stage or is cold compared to the live warmth of DTS.
