  1. The RSP-1068 and RSP-1098 allow you to set different crossovers for front, center, surrounds, and rear. Your choices are 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150 and 200Hz.
  2. I am very sorry to hear about the losses of your dogs. We have two dogs. They are 7 and 8 years old. I just dread when their times will come. To us, they are like our children (we don't have any kids). I know that losing them will tear me up. Again, sorry for your losses.
  3. I have been real happy with my Rotel gear. The RB-1080 sounds great for 2 channel music. I have the RMB-1075 for the rest of my HT. I'm only running 6.1 so I am able to bi-amp my front center channel which I think was a nice improvement over single amping before I had the 1080. I have had two Denon DVD players (1600 and now the 2200). I have been very happy with these. I haven't researched their new players (1910, 2910, 3910) very much but now is a real good time to pick up a 2900 for a good price. The video quality of the 2200 and the 2900 are suppose to be similar (excellent) but the 2900 has better audio capabilities. Both play DVD-Audio and SACD. The new 2910 and 3910 introduce upsampling to 720P or 1080i.
  4. Michael, I know that you're sticking with film, but do you have any thoughts on a "prosumer" level digital camera like the Nikon Coolpix 8700 or Canon Powershot Pro1 vs digital SLR like the Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel. These are the models that I am looking at. My wife like the idea of capturing movie clips with the non-SLR models. I don't know if that would be used much, but we don't really plan on getting a camcorder so it might be of some use to us. Here is a comparison of those 3 cameras: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_post.asp?method=sidebyside&cameras=canon_eos300d%2Cnikon_cp8700%2Ccanon_pro1&show=all
  5. Michael, where are the photos of that Bell'O. We are going to buy a digital camera right after Christmas and I'll get some updated photos of my setup.
  6. Don't forget to factor in that getting rid of the RB75s might hurt your wife feelings quite a bit. That was a VERY nice and thoughtful gift.
  7. I have a black Rotel RB-1080 (2x200W) in excellent condition for sale. I'm asking $675 for it.
  8. I have a black Rotel RB-1080 (2 channel, 200W/ch) amp for sale. I am asking $675 plus shipping. The amp is in excellent condition and sounds great with my RF-7s. For more info: http://www.rotel.com/products/specs/rb1080.htm
  9. jzoz01, Do you sell the Reference Cinema series? I heard those at the Klipsch get-together this past summer. I was quite impressed and they certainly are more the size that your customer seems to be looking for.
  10. I think the ProMedia are usually sold in the computer speaker area and not seen by many consumers as a alternative to the Bose.
  11. Seismic_Pulse, I have a SVS PC-Plus 20-39 for sale. It's a great sub. The only reason that I am selling it is that I just bought a more expensive SVS. I am the original owner. It's in like new condition. It's been in a smoke-free, child-free environment. I asking $675 plus shipping for it. Let me know if you are interested. Mark
  12. Thanks John. That was a long drive! I think I'll have to finally watch Spider-Man 2 tomorrow morning and give the PB2+ a try.
  13. I'm a software engineer working at Raytheon in Ft Wayne, Indiana.
  14. Actually, I think the reason SVS gets left out is because they don't buy large ads in their magazines. I'm sure their competition is happy that they are left out.
  15. I just read on the AVS forum where someone else got 3 Superbits for the price of two.
  16. I went to Best Buy this evening to pick up the Superbit version of Spider-Man 2 for myself and copies for two of my friends. When they rang up, I asked to make sure they were $17.99 (sticker said $22.99). The cashier said "Yes and the third one rang up free". I don't know if they had some special that I didn't know about or if this was a mistake. The cashier didn't really have an explanation, but I walked out with 3 Superbit editions for $38 including tax.

  18. Michael, your avatar is looking great as usual.
  19. Orange Peel, Thanks. My Rotel gear looks really nice on the new rack. I'll have to get some pics up here of all of my latest changes (new chairs, riser, stage, rack, and some equipment).
  20. I have a brand new still in the box Bell'O ATC-2111M Audio rack for sale. I found a great deal and bought two, but I have decided to only use one. The rack will have to be picked up however, since it weighs 145 pounds and shipping charges would be huge. I live in Ft Wayne, Indiana. I would drive 50 miles or so to meet someone to reduce travel time. The rack retails for $1000. On-line prices seem to be about $575-$750. I am only looking for $300. Here is a link to information from the Bell'O site: http://www.bello.com/Audio/atc-2111m.asp
  21. The players are currently suspended "indefinitely" because the Pacers play tonight and they had to suspend the three Pacers but haven't had the chance to sort through this mess and determine appropriate suspension lengths. It will be interesting to see the final suspensions lengths. While the last thing that the NBA ever wants to see is players attacking fans, much of this was brought on by "fan" actions. Artest didn't have to go into the stands after being hit in the face with the cup. Artest and O'Neal didn't have to hit the guys on the court later (especially O'Neal's punch) but there was spectators throwing punches left and right along with a chair and all the concession items that they could find. The two punches landed by Artest and O'Neal on the court were agains people that came out and confronted them. What a mess.
  22. I have always found that the AR cables are a good value. You can always try some more expensive cables at a later time. The site that fini mentioned (www.ac4l.com) looks like they have some real good buys on the better AR cables. I have been quite satisfied with the service and product from bluejeanscable.com.
