  1. Q-Man, I don't know what a low market price is on the DV 8300, but it can be had for less than quoted. We tend to suggest what we own, but it is not because misery loves company. I've been very happy with audio & video from it. SSH
  2. Congratulations on your HT. You've stepped through another threshold & will enjoy it for a long time to come. SSH
  3. Dean, That is one beautiful piece of equipment. We'll be anxious to get reviews from you guys. SSH
  4. Henry, Welcome to the Forum. Any of the Heratige line will be a good match.Right now there is a pr of Cornwalls for sale on the forum for $800.It's been said in that thread that they probably won't last long. Looking at the pics, I agree. They would be an excellent match. SSH
  5. If you miss-out on Bob's Cornwalls in another thread (A great looking deal, btw),you might check this out: walnut, "excellent condition", $1000, 501 221 3563 Little Rock, AR. SSH
  6. I'm also a fan of the RC7,although I just replaced one with a LaScala. My rear centers are still RC7s, until my other LaS gets a recently purchased ALK installed so the squawker squawks. The RC7 will cover a lot of room, & you're right about it producing splendid detail. It kept-up well with my Khorn mains. It will improve (mellow) after a break-in period. SSH
  7. One of the values of this site is that we are introduced to information that sophisticates us as audiophiles-however unsophisticated some of us may be. Sometimes that means digging into our wallets to please our ears.My systems and quality of life have improved with purchases of music, equipment, and services both suggested, and offered, here. Those thousands of dollars have been put in the hands of other Klipsch fans (& businesses selling me six new Klipsch speakers) who perpetuate the Klipsch legacy. Moderators, your customers are asking for a service that promotes your business. SSH
  8. Flason, If they sound as good as they look, you're set! Good job. SSH

Frzninvt, If you need more stability, put a piece of plywood under the TV. SSH

Frzninvt, My TV looks awkward hanging over the sides of the LaS, & sitting up so high, but the carpet was getting too much of my sound, & my lady sits "off axis". I had also gotten used to a wide soundstage with the RC7.It is a compromise either way.I'd really like to hang it above the TV, but the Omnimount that will hold it is several hundred $. Maybe Christmas... JM, The first multichannel SACD I played was 100% convincing. Then we watched a DVD. Surround Sound found. SSH
  12. I've turned the LaS right-side-up & 100% agree with all posters who thought I'd lost my ears to say that the LaS doesn't reproduce dialogue as well as the RC7. On its' side, under the TV,it was lousy_,especially when compared to a well-positioned,good-sounding center speaker.Standing upright, it positions the TV a little higher than is ideal for me,but it sure sounds sweet,& much more seamless than the RC7 with the Khorn mains.I'll soon have the ALKs in,& look forward to that improvement. SSH
  13. Paul, You might consider some type of surge control before purchasing a new unit.Monster Cable guarantees replacement costs way beyond what my equipment will ever be worth. If you're happy with the Marantz sound, consider the 8300(which I am pleased with) or 9200. SSH
  14. Last week I posted a pr advertised in the AR Gazette classifieds. They were still there today. SSH
  15. Thanks,Bill. He has a pr of 3s & wants to move them to the back, with 4s up front. The Epic series are beautiful speakers, with a sound to match. SSH
  16. I know someone in north Arkansas who is looking for a pr of Walnut C4s.Please email me if you have a lead on some. SSH

Randy, Ths shelves look great.Excellent match with the LaS.It's nice to be able to visualize where the AAs will reside. SSH
  18. gonefishin, Welcome.I'll read you on your forum-looks like fun. SSH
  19. Man,you're going to be happy with those. You're just suffering from mid-project crisis. One of my best mods was to staple rubber stair runner material to the tailboard for a tight fit against the corner.I think you got a real bargain,Flason. SSH
  20. Flason, You got a bargain if you can get them running right for $800-$1000.I just bought a pr of LaS for $800,& a squawker doesn't work.I'm putting ALKs in & still have a great value.Remember it's a long term investment. You'll love them for a long time. SSH

  22. Thanks, fini. I figured sound came out of it,but I thought it might be a console unit LOL. SSH
  23. Thanks,m00n. Beautiful piece of cabinetry on the main page. It's interesting to read from other perspectives, since we pretty much talk Klipsch-talk here.I wouldn't have seen it in Odds & Mods unless the thread title got me to it. SSH
  24. King Crimson is still great music.I could listen to Court & visualize the scene.OK,I had some help, but that was 30 years ago.Klipsch does it for me now.Love it. SSH
