  1. Bose, Better sound through pointin tweeters every which a way!
  2. Is it a woofer or the tweeter that was blown? Klipsch parts dept. may have those.
  3. KG 2.2 or KG 2.5's on stands are popular as surround speakers with that setup. That is what I use (kg 2.5's).
  4. Did you play the roadie in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story?
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-K-1063-8-Woofer-SPEAKER-NEW_W0QQitemZ390030243056QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item390030243056&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A570%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-8-woofer-SPEAKER-NEW-k-3-8-k-120807_W0QQitemZ220359326213QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item220359326213&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A570%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
  6. I've run my Forte II's and Academy at 150 wpc for well over a year. No problem.
  7. If you do get them, I believe forum member Mudkicker may be interested in your 2.5's Win/win.
  8. For those of us that have large front speakers, and wives who don't like having a large speaker over the TV. Or there is usually less room over/under the tv. Since your 2.5's are basically center speaker size, you've got it made. I believe a kg 2.2 would work for you as well.
  9. Mudkicer, why not get a KG 2.5 for a center and have a completely matched front 3?
  10. I have 2 Forte 1's I would split for those who want to use them as centers. Clermont cop are you outside orlando, FL?
  11. Check back with BB the week after the Superbowl. You can probably get a deal on an open box unit.
  12. The Sub-12 is a huge upgrade from the KSW-12.
  13. Sounds like its just a pushed in dust cover which will not affect sound. They can sometimes be carefully sucked out with a vacuum. Where are you located? You might find a buyer here on this forum. Pictures, location, and prices are always helpful.
  14. I would pick the Fortes anyway, but the price clinches them. $200 is a steal if they're functional and look decent.
  15. I believe these were prone to having glue dry out causing the rattle, and should have the joints reglued.. Search the forum for kg 5.5 and klf series rattles. If I can find it, I will post it here.
  16. Looks great except for the Bose 321 unit in your rack.[]
  17. Inventor, how about you sell your 805 to Natas and get the Pioneer for yourself? Just a thought.
  18. Pretty much anything by Denon, Harman Kardon, Onkyo would be good in that price range.
  19. I picked up a rough pair of Cornwalls WO today. The serial numbers are 34Y553 and 34Y552. Were these made in 1983? I've seen the decoder and it is a bit confusing. BTW, these things are huge. I can't see my Forte II's behind them, and those are not small. Merry Christmas
  20. That is the recommended method for Bose equipment, not Klipsch.
  21. My wife's name. She likes to drive even faster than I do.
  22. "But I'm pretty sure even the lowly Quintet setup would be considerably better than a **** setup and not that much bigger. SRP $549 add a SUB10 or SUB 12 and it's probably a killer system to most people. Or some really small Synergy bookshelves." I let my buddy try out a set of Quintet II's I had picked up. I never got them back. One of his co-workers now has his old "cute" Bose system.
