  3. Seems like a good deal at Newegg today. They are the shell shocker and limit three per person but they would be nice additions for in ceiling if anyone is interested. $399 each. Regular $999
  4. I currently have 2 home theaters and am looking to make some upgrades in both. In the main room I have a 7.1 setup with Reference fronts, bookshelf speakers mounted as surrounds and bookshelves in the back. I am looking to replace the side surrounds with either RS52s, RS62s or RP250s. In a second theater I have, I am replacing a Bxxx system (!). It sucks (the Bxxx) and I know it. There I am going to use the bookshelves from the side surrounds in the main room as fronts (at least to start), and would like RS52s or RS42s....or potentially a great deal on some RS35s. With the right deal/opportunity I would even consider replacing the back surrounds in the main room, or get a 2nd set for the second theater. I guess it all depends upon what someone has and is looking to move. If you also have a matching center with your surrounds, please feel free to make an offer including that center. I could possibly replace the center in the Bxxx theater. I'm located in Chicago. If you have item(s) to potentially sell, please note I don't require perfect condition, original boxes, that they be a certain model i.e. don't mind IVs or IIs etc. A good, fair deal is what I'm looking for and great sound. Scratches, a dent or the like is OK, but good working condition is of course important. If you have something to sell or know someone who does, the favor would be appreciated! -- Roboklipsch
  5. Hi, I just move here 6 months ago and been slowly building my 2 channel audio setup. I have uploaded a demo of my setup as a baseline of what I am hearing and have now, here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9x-w8Bum4iY In my own words, I would describe the sound of this video to be warm (somewhat bassy), full and able to fill the room but is lacking LUSH and WETNESS. I have decided to a lot $500 for tube amplifier and would like get some feedback on which tube amplifier is best suited what is lacking in my current setup. Appreciate sharing your vast knowledge and looking forward for your feedback. - cris
  6. So i am building a house and it is going to include a 2 row, 7 seat (3+4) or 8 seat (4+4) home theatre and im starting to draw up the schematic of the home theatre and got to the speaker locations and such. I live in a small country/ so i have almost no way of testing any of the speakers i choose before i get them, so i am trusting in the reviews of others. The first thing that came up when i googled home theater were klipsch speakers so i started reaschering them and they looked very good and i have read that they are very good. The plan is to have a 9.2.4 or a 9.4.4 Atmos setup in the room and i was just wondering what speakers you as the experts (at least heard the speakers) would recommend. The rest of the speakers in the house are Bang & Olufsen but cause in the theater im putting so many speakers i'd rather not spend that much money on getting Bang & Olufsen speakers. also how do the klipsch compare to the B&O speakers. or should i get the THX Ultra 2 and is that any good compared to Dolby ATmosThanks in advance for any help. Also, i'm single so no wife/GF telling me what i cant do (sorry for bad English)
  7. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsh-Surround-Sound-System-/182019680155?hash=item2a6137e79b:g:pdoAAOSwa-dWsiFz Looks like a nice little package, especially at the price. Nothing worse than mis spelling Klipsch in your ad! No affiliation but maybe someone wants to get in on it! Tim
  8. It's finally here. We are so proud to announce that Klipsch Reference Premiere HD Wireless is available now from Klipsch.com and select retailers: http://www.klipsch.com/rp-hd-wireless I also posted a blog "10 Reasons To Get Reference Premiere HD Wireless" which not only gives you the value propositions of the product but should also give you an idea of how important this is to the team: http://www.klipsch.com/blog/ten-reasons-to-get-klipsch-reference-premiere-hd-wireless-speaker-system/ Some of you have probably heard me say this before, but all employees were given the demo of these speakers a couple months back and most came out saying that it was the best Klipsch demo they had ever heard. The Klipsch engineering team really outdid itself with this one. These aren't just great wireless speakers. These are great speakers PERIOD. If you have any questions technical or otherwise, please feel free to ask them and I'll do my best to get them all answered!

  12. Hi guys, is there a way to hook up a "speakon" only Klipsch monitor to a regular home SS amplifier? There are a ton of cool Klipsch speakers that I would like to try out that only offer a speakon hook up and I have no idea on how to hook them up. Is there some kind of adapter or something? Maybe a speakon bare wire or something? Thanks for your help Tim

  14. I have been approached to buy a pair of Klipsch Cornwall's from the 70's. They do not appear to have any veneer, or be unfinished. I have no experience with vintage speakers and I would like to make sure I'm not getting ripped off. Guy is asking $700 for the pair. Any advice for a newbie who really wants a pair of old-school speakers?
  15. I'm getting to a bit of year-end housecleaning and writing up my impressions of a number of speakers I was fortunate enough to sample over the course of the year. This was a great Klipsch year for me - I've had Cornwalls, Tangent 5000s, and Forte IIs in the house alongside my CF4s. They were, and still are, all amazing speakers. But only one pair got to stay while the others found new and willing homes. It was tough winnowing the herd but that's the only way I can keep up with this amazing hobby! I've written up my impressions with some pictures on my blog, www.silverfacestereo.com. I'd be happy to hear whether others have done similar comparisons and what they've concluded. I hope you enjoy my post! G
  16. Hi all, Due to recent medical bills that have drained us financially i need to sell my Marantz 2238 receiver. I've bought it a while back and used it only occasionally to listen to my music collection. It's in great condition - clean, lights work, sounds good. Wood case has a few small imperfections (rear corner had chipped veneer and was repaired). I would really like to sell it locally if at all possible (San Diego, California) as shipping this guy is just asking for trouble. I may still ship, but you will need to cover packaging/shipping costs - fedex, insured for full value and understand the danger of shipping. Should be around $50 or so in my estimate. You are welcome to come to my place and check it out or listen while hooked up to RF-7s. By the way - looks great next to Cherry RF7s. Would like to get $350 for it.
  17. I am not an audiophile but I do appreciate good sound and was blessed to inheret some nice audio equipment from which I hope to build a quality home theatre system primarily for movies & video. Here's a list of my equipment: 2X Klipsch KG5.5 Floorstanding Speakers Klipsch KV2 Center Channel Speaker Klipsch SW10-II Subwoofer Harmon Kardon AVR65 Receiver The way my room is set up makes the large KG5.5 speakers placement more practical in the back of the room behind the speaker as rear channel speakers. I guess my first question is whether this is an aceptable arrangement for these particular speakers. If yes, can you guys recommend a complementary Klipsch product for the front and rear speakers with the caveat that I need something small enough to hang from a side wall or the ceiling. And while I'm at it, can you recommend a good speaker bracket/clip/hanger for ceiling or side wall mount? Finally, if locating these big KGs in the back of the room is an audio faux pas, I'll try to find a home for them in the front of the room but still need a recomendation for the rear speakers. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help. Sincerely, Charles Madison, AL PS - Do you guys recommend using bandpass filters for the perimeter speakers when a subwoofer is part of the home audio system? If yes, where would I purchase such an animal?

Aesthetically they are a solid 9, with only a few minor scratches on the risers and one scratch on the top of one of the boxes.
