  1. Hello- I've got. pair of Heresy IIIs that I bought around 2017 and I have an SVS PB-2000 subwoofer I'm trying to pair them up with. The SVS manual suggests using the loudspeaker's rated bass extension as a good starting off point to set the low pas filter. There aren't many settings so I don't have a lot to go wrong, but I've adjusted and played around with the settings and I'm not finding a good jumping off point. Unfortunately, I'm just one person with 2 ears attached to my one head and I don't have a lot of equipment for setting up and adjusting placements and levels, so it's a lot of setting, going to my listening point, trying again, resetting, trying again, and so on. Which could go on forever. So I'm just trying to zero in on wher thr rolloff is for the Klipsch's to hand things over to the SVS sub, and fine tune it from there. The sub, being analog before bluetooth apps and fun interlinks were available, makes it a bit more esoteric, but in the end I know it comes down to my preference. I'm just looking for a good starting point of Hz, and possibly volume setting to work with. Thanks for your help.
  2. Took over 5 years of collection, finally completed my 9.2.4 Home Theatre with Klipsch speakers (minus the subs). : ) I had some RF62 and RC62s initially and @Youthman inspired me to do v2 w/ La Scala. I was fortunate to find a couple La Scala from an original owner to kick start it and rest fell in place after. I originally had Yamaha surrounds and ceilings and those were the last ones to be replaced. I thought ceiling won't matter much.. oh boy, was I wrong. Love those 8" pro-180 RPCs, appreciate the bass from those ATMOS heights for sure! Lastly, I think for my size of room where surrounds are relatively close to seating, the RP surrounds with the dispersion sounded better compared to my original in-walls. I may look to have a couple more acoustic panels to cut down reflections more in time. What's next? Gonna enjoy the newly released 25th anniversary Gladiator and Braveheart to test it out. : ) Receiver: Denon AVR-X8500H LCR: Klipsch La Scala w/ Crites CT120 and A/4500 crossover Front Wides: Klipsch RP-600m Surrounds (L, R, RL, RR): Klipsch RP-502s Top (FL, FR, RL, RR): Klipsch Pro-180 RPC Subwoofers: SVS PB-16 & PSA v1501df Projector: BenQ: HT3550 Screen: Elite 1080P3 120" 16:9 Cheers and hope everyone is staying safe and enjoying their HT!
  3. Hi all, First owner of TWO SVS SB-16 Ultra's, purchased directly from SVS. $1,100 each, or $2,000 for both. Both are piano gloss finish and in excellent condition. Great subs - perfect for music and great for home theater as well. I've been running these with my RF-7 III's (also for sale), and they sound great together. One sub has all original packaging. The other has MOST of its original packaging - missing a couple of the foam inserts. Shipping is available - would be open to splitting costs within reason. We can discuss. Local pickup also available - I'm located in NJ just outside of Atlantic City. Everything for sale right now. If you'd like to get both subs and the RF-7 III's, I could knock off another $200: SVS SB-16 Ultra's: $1,100 each or $2,000 for the pair. (Piano Gloss) RF-7 III's: $2,000/pair (Walnut) RF-83's: $500/pair (Black) *Due to COVID-19, I cannot offer an in home audition at this time. All equipment is in perfect working order and excellent cosmetic condition. Someone mentioned being unable to direct message me yesterday. If you run into issues or don't hear back, leave a comment on this thread. Pictures below.
  4. I’m looking to add an additional sub (sorta an upgrade) to my home theater. I recently bought the R120SW over the weekend on sale for 300 but I recently found a listing for a SVS 25-31PCI for sale and negotiated it to 150. I do a decent amount movie & music. My my current set up includes SR 5011 Receiver (but used as preamp) RP 280F with MM7025 separate am RP 250c (center) RP 140SA (Atmos) KF 42 II (surround) these three are on an Proceed AMP 5 with an R10SW subwoofer. I cant decide if I should return the Klipsch R120SW to buy the SVS 25-31 PCI. I do a good 50-50 for music and movies. I listen to all variety do music from hip hop to EDM to Vietnamese pop music & bolero. My living soon is a small room maybe 12x12x10, with 3 walls connected to another room on the wall-less side. That connected room is about 15x10x10 with 3 walls and connect to another room. (Hope that makes sense. HELP!!!! Ps this is my first post, new to forum and thank you for any help!
  5. Hi all, Selling a pair of SB2000 SVS Subs "black ash". Tight and great sounding subs. Id prefer to sell both. Local pickup preferred. If you would like to have them shipped please contact me and maybe we can work something out. I called SVS once and they wanted 50.00 for each box so I didn't order more. The subs are in very good condition. These subs still have transferable warranty left. I live approx 15 miles north of Louisville, KY If you have interest please message me for contact info etc. Thanks

  8. I'm not expecting any specific answers here, just a general inquiry if members here are aware of SVS sales, such as BlackFriday/Holiday sales...? I'm looking to buy the PB-1000, I realize for some people here $500 is pocket change and they'd say, "Just buy the thing already!". But for me, that's a considerable purchase and if I could wait a few months and save $100 or so it's something to think about. I figure it's a company that kinda sticks to it's prices? I know there is an outlet section, but the PB-1000 rarely is for sale in there, which is a good sign in my opinion. So, is anyone aware of SVS sales on their own site? I say that because I know they will go up on sale in B&M stores near me, but that voids the Bill of Rights that SVS provides. I want that 45-day trial, and the 1 year trade in offer, and the 5 year warranty. SVS reps tell me none of that applies (perhaps the 5 year warranty is still valid) if I purchase from a retailer. They set their own policies and don't have to adhere to anything SVS suggests. Thanks all!
  9. Very nice svs sub with 1000 watt amp sounds great 900.00 located in Dallas Texas
  10. Ok, new thread... You've all convinced me I should get a sub. You've also convinced me I do not have entry level gear and I should work on refining my current setup once the sub is hooked up... I think I've narrowed down to either the SVS SB1000 or PB1000. I love that they offer 45-day trials on their equipment - true testament to quality? I also realize that offering such a service means you are paying for it somewhere... For those who do not need to trial the sub, they may think these subs are overpriced. I will likely buy one in the coming month or two. I know I can just pick one and if it doesn't work out I can return it and get the other one. But which should I try first? Ideally I will be happy with the first purchase and not have to return it. That will keep the buyer and seller the happiest! So, here's my breakdown: RB-35s as mains RC-62 center RS-52 surrounds The room is 19x15' with 12' vaulted gable ceilings. There is a 6' opening to the room by the kitchen and the TV sits adjacent to this wall (so on the 13' side). I'd say 50% is video games, 25% movies/shows, 25% music. If I'm missing some info to help the decision let me know. So, ported or sealed? I know there are personal preferences and I should test them out myself. And I plant to. But should one first over the other? It's like test driving a car... Do you hop right into the Turbo model or do you drive the eco first? I'm leaning towards the sealed sub based on reviews saying it's "punchier" and "cleaner". I don't want to piss off the neighbors, we just bought the house! haha. But I want to round out the sound my system is currently outputting.
  11. These are $1999 new, get one local (near Columbia SC) for much less and hear before you buy too! Both are in perfect condition and used less than a year. All packaging included. I have two of these available, both received in March 2015 direct from SVS, ordered in late February 2015 direct from SVS. Order number and order email will be provided too. $1550 price is for ONE subwoofer, but you are welcome to buy BOTH for $2950 if you bring cash and drive to my home. My wife has always hated how big they are and she finally won so I bought much smaller subs that do NOT go down to 14Hz like these massive subs weighing 155lbs each. These are serious and great looking subs. If you are price shopping, note that these have the newer more powerful sledge amps, while the older ones you see on ebay have the older style amp. I can also provide a copy of the original order for warranty purposes too, there is more than 4 years remaining on the warranty (between you and SVS)! These are very high quality and can do less than 1% THD at normal volume level (100dB or less) in a well treated room and can even hit those 120dB peaks if you want them to for movies. Very versatile subs as they can be used in three modes including sealed, ported 16Hz or ported 20Hz. They easily went down to 14Hz in my room +/-3dB. Any audiophile would love these, they are that impactful and accurate. NEAR COLUMBIA, SC. WILL NOT SHIP RIGHT NOW, MAYBE IN A FEW MONTHS THOUGH IF THEY DON'T SELL BY APRIL. PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR A SHIPPING QUOTE UNTIL APRIL. THANKS AND SORRY, I JUST DON'T WANT TO LUG THESE THINGS TO FEDEX FREIGHT UNLESS I HAVE TO. 12. Hi Guys, I recently got into the world of klipsch with RF-42ii's and my parents were in the market for a surround sound system and I talked them into purchasing the RB51ii system with: RB51ii (fronts) RC52ii (center) RS42ii (surrounds) The only part that is remaining is the subwoofer. I haven't heard great things about the Klipsch SW110 - pros/cons? Also any other sub in the 500 dollar region that would be really good? I've heard a lot about the SVS Subs. Room is 400sqft and is a perfect square. It has marble flooring and a lot of hardwood/glass furniture. Also would the new klipsch reference subs be any good? KLIPSCH R10SW/R12SW? There are no reviews since I believe they are yet to be released? Thanks a ton guys
