I have no idea where this is culminating on Monday but HOLY CHIT MAN!

THis is some sweet human drama / sport stuff!

These kids have ice water in their veins in their veins!

When Lucious and Green play the way the do as Freshmen; any outcome is possible.

I sure am rooting for them. I am PSU guy but the chance to cheer on a fellow Big 10 team in the NCAA Championship game is awesome!!!!!! They are gonna have to be on their A Game for these Tar Heels and their defense.. Go Spartans GO!!!!!!!!!

1979 seems like yesterday. I was the guy that Magic and Kelser had to push through in order to be interviewed after games on WJIM. Also managed to snag some of the the television banners. Couldn't have them cluttering up Jenison. At that time we felt they were destined to win it all. We beat Digger Phelps Notre Dame team then (6 future NBA players) and he has not picked MSU since!

We also had the 1979 National Champion Cheerleading Squad. Can't forget Deena Green. She sure looked good in a white sweater.

2000 was sweet. 2009 maybe sweeter!

Can you believe this?

EAST LANSING -- Michigan State guards Korie Lucious and Chris Allen
will both undergo surgery on Friday to repair broken bones sustained in
their right feet during Monday's national championship game against
North Carolina.

It will take both players about eight weeks to recover, according to MSU basketball sports information director Matt Larson.

The Spartans lost the game, 89-72, at Ford Field in Detroit, but
Lucious was one of the team's bright spots. As MSU struggled in the
first half, Lucious made two of his three shots, all from 3-point range.

Lucious was injured after the Spartans cut the Tar Heels' lead to 13
points on a pair of Kalin Lucas free throws with 4:57 remaining.

As North Carolina tried to inbound the ball, Lucious got tangled up
with Tar Heels guard Ty Lawson. Lucious was called for a foul, although
it looked as though Lawson had flung him to the court. Lucious remained
on the floor for several minutes while being treated.

Lawson made both free throws and MSU got no closer the rest of the way.

It's not clear when Allen, who missed all eight of his field-goal
attempts, including seven from 3-point range, was injured. He played 17
minutes and came out of the game for the last time with 1:42 remaining.

That stinks. No wonder we looked so bad for the first 20 minutes.

BTW got a nice book about the 1979 game.
