pzannucci
Finished La Scalas. I had a vintage 1976 pair in cherry with a grill (optional). Much nicer that unfinished birch ply. Peter Z.

DLUngurait
I would have thought that those were professional LaScalas what with the separate bass and mid/tweeter wedge shaped section.

TheEAR
These look like the Demolition version of the LaScala. And beaten up so bad! Where is the respect and love? I like these, like a brutish poorman's Wilson WATT/PUPPY. Just match these with a big brutal solid state amp and enter the world of pain. IndyKlipschFan
I think these were the General Motors La Scalas that were on Ebay about 6 months ago. (They wanted 2400 dollars for them, as they are the industrial models.. I told him it was way too much, they didn't get ONE bid.) Yes Klipsch made an industrial model for bands, DJ, PA use. These look unlike the prefered Industrial version (plastic coated plywood, with metal trim) to be in Birch and yes beaten up pretty bad. A real fixer upper... Might be good for parts though.... Guest BobG
The La Scalas in this picture are TLSI (Theater, LaScala, Industrial). It is a split industrial LaScala that was intended to spend it's life behind a perforated movie theater screen. Klipsch has also made versions of iindustrial La Scalas that were one piece or two piece in fiberglass enclosures. Some came with metal corner armor others not. Just depended on how many times they would be thrown around in trucks to various sound reinforcement jobs. The La Scala was originally developed for the election campaign of Winthrop Rockerfeller when he ran for Governor of Arkansas in 1962. They were used as PA speakers as he addressed campaign crowds. Hope he used a SET amp.
