Guitarist Joe Perry emerged and told the audience that his lead singer was heading to the hospital.MikeSanborn of the Buffalo Chip Campground, where the concert was held, said Tyler was in "good spirits" as he was ushered away."He was good natured about it," he told the Associated Press. "He was talking and joking with the physician." This was the first time Aerosmith had performed at the rally, andpromoters had earlier predicted the band would draw the biggest crowdin South Dakota history. The number of bummed-out fans has not beenreleased.Inevitably, there will be footage of the tumble on YouTube. wuzzzer
Hopefully he'll make a full recovery quickly. Aerosmith is without a doubt my all-time favorite rock band. I've seen them twice in concert and had a blast both times.
Tom Adams
Yeah.....read about that. Hope he be OK. And in a related matter...... Bruce Rossmeyer was killed while travelling to Stugis for the annual motorcycle rally. Not many outside the motorcycle community know of Bruce, but he was truly a self-made man/success story. He became the largest Harley dealer in the world and had the largest Harley dealership in the world. His Destination Daytona has to be seen to be believed. It's 150 acres of motorcycle dealerships, hotel, condos, accessories, etc. and is located just north of Daytona Beach. Never met Bruce but knew folks that did and they said he was as down-to-earth as anyone. His GEICO Buell race team has been doing very well lately. It's sad he died but I guess he died doing what he was passionate about - riding motorcycles. Sorry for the minor hi-jack. Tom

Islander
Falling off a stage can be really dangerous. When Frank Zappa was pushed off the stage by a fan in December 1971, he was badly hurt and never fully recovered. From Wikipedia: The Mothers played at the Rainbow Theatre, London, with rented gear. During the encore, an audience member pushed Zappa off the stage and into the concrete-floored orchestra pit. The band thought Zappa had been killed—he had suffered serious fractures, head trauma and injuries to his back, leg, and neck, as well as a crushed larynx, which ultimately caused his voice to drop a third after healing.[106] This left him wheelchair bound, forcing him off the road for over half a year. Upon his return to the stage in September 1972, he was still wearing a leg brace, had a noticeable limp and could not stand for very long while on stage. Zappa noted that one leg healed "shorter than the other" (a reference later found in the lyrics of songs "Zomby Woof" and "Dancin' Fool"), resulting in chronic back pain.[106] Of course, that was the week after an audience member lit a flare that burned down the Casino de Montreux in Switzerland while The Mothers were playing, inspiring Deep Purple to write Smoke on the Water. Who'd have thought The Mothers had such crazy fans?
