rmlowz
Hello, I bought two pair of MWM-s recently. I disassembled them getting ready to repair and refinish them. One set with matching serial numbers has K43s in them and the other set also with matching serial numbers had the K43 Es in them. I appreciate your help in answering my question. Daddy Dee
Congrats on the MWM's. Very cool bass bins, indeed. The E designates a woofer built to spec for Klipsch by Eminence. The S would be another manufacturer, but I'm not sure who it is. I'm sure someone will chime in here who knows.
WMcD
I am reading this as a "writing style" issue. I think he is writing about more than one K43 units without a suffix letter as K43's, the apostrophe indicating a plural rather than a suffix. On the other hand, K43 Es indicate plural K43E. (E suffix) If the same style was used it would be K43E's. So the question is: What is the difference between a K43 and K43E. I dunno. Coytee
I'm thinking for indoor/home use the K33 might be better anyway? My recall is the K33 might dig a bit deeper at the expense of reducing maximum output (as though you will EVER stretch their muscles in the home!) I might be wrong, perhaps Doc Who, Colter or someone else who knows will chime in. Sell the 43's and get some 33's is my guess to the best solution. colterphoto1
in a MWM cabinet? it goes boom boom, I put woofers in them. seriously I've never heard them with K33, doubt if there would be much difference. Same with your K43 v K43E designation. Button em up tight and let er rip mang! M
longdrive03
I think the K-43 is a cast frame and has a 2 to 3db higher sensitivity than the K-33. Bigger magnet too I think.
