Montague22
I have definately been thinking about it. Especially if you are considering have that and the amp together. That seems like a Huge Bang For The Buck. I will be interested in what other people have to say. I have been in other forums and people really like the amps that they have. Rich_Guy
I think first shipments of the UMC-1 are not expected to reach customers until toward the end of November. Right now Emotiva is just confirming pre-order customers before they will start shipping. But it looks like the UMC-1 will finally be shipping soon. wuzzzer
If things at work turn out like I hope, I'll be getting the UMC-1 along with a multi-channel amp after Christmas. I CAN'T WAIT.
Oblio
I was thinking about it, got tired of waiting and bought a HK AVR-254 rather than UMC-1/XPA-
CECAA850
I don't think I'd buy the first round of any new pre-pro or receiver. Let them get out in the public and get the bugs and handshake issues worked out first. After the second or third firmware release, they're usually alot less trouble prone. maseline_98
I was thinking about it, got tired of waiting and bought a HK AVR-254 rather than UMC-1/XPA-5 Do you regret this fact? Seems like the HK is pretty nice....
InVeNtOr
was considering it, but can't really pony up the dough right now.
Oblio
Do you regret this fact? Seems like the HK is pretty nice.... Not yet, it was <$300 (refurb from factory). I bought a BR player yesterday but haven't had much a chance to play with it. What I have heard sounds nice, no 2ch listening yet.
carbon summit
I'm tempted. I don't know how much I'll gain over my Yamaha 663 in the end. I'm sure a true pre/pro will be better but how much better? I might wait until the next new batch of surround sound codecs are relased and my 663 is out dated and then get the Emo pre/pro that is out at that time.
