Anybody getting the UMC-1?

As some may know and some may not Emotiva finally is filling their pre-orders.

I am not on the pre-order list(probably going to get a xmc-1-->pending price), I'm still in debate.

In case any of you weren't aware of emotiva or the UMC-1. Here is a feature listing:

The fuully featured UMC-1 is an
audiophile grade preamp, multi-channel digital processor and AM/FM

Previews
at industry events have turned more than a few heads, and it has been
featured in the Dolby Laboratories display at the 2009 CES.

The
UMC-1 uses twin Cirrus® 32 bit dual core DSP’s for un compromised high
resolution HD audio decoding and signal management.



Video processing is managed by the Genesis/ST® Torino high performance
scaling engine. HDMI signal management is controlled by the latest
generation Silicon Image and Analog Devices components.

Hey now! I know that I am a little Techno Challenged. But I am absorbing as much as possible. LOL..... Everthing I have heard about that line has been rave reviews. I mean seriously.... Who else offers that type of equipment for that money? I think that I am going to pull the trigger on that set up. Processor and Amp for a little more then a grand. Hellllllz Yeah!

I think first shipments of the UMC-1 are not expected to reach customers until toward the end of November. Right now Emotiva is just confirming pre-order customers before they will start shipping. But it looks like the UMC-1 will finally be shipping soon.

I'm tempted. I don't know how much I'll gain over my Yamaha 663 in the end. I'm sure a true pre/pro will be better but how much better?

I might wait until the next new batch of surround sound codecs are relased and my 663 is out dated and then get the Emo pre/pro that is out at that time.
