Thoughts?
jason str
I was looking through some of those myself but it looks too good to be true.
smokarz
not sure about Yaqin, but i just chat up with a coworker who owns a Cayin A88T and seems to really like it. i too am looking for an affordable tube amp, and these Chinese tubes seem to fit the bill. gotta do a bit more research though. EDIT: forgot to add that, he bought the Cayin made in China for much less than the ones selling in the US.
Cal Blacksmith
I think the weight of SILVER should be fine even though the color is 13kg! Other than that, I bet the tubes get hot. I guess I really didn't have much to say about it after all[]
captmobley
I did a little research on this amp and the consensus seems to be that the build quality is about what you'd expect for that price point. You have to realize that at that price there isn't going to be any warranty to speak of. i do have 2 Yaqin tube buffers that I paid less than $100 each used and they seem to be pretty good quality. I recently got a Sophia Baby integrated tube amp and am really impressed with the sound quality and build. There is quite a bit of good comment and reviews on the Sophia-there are usually a couple around on Audiogon or Audio Asylum for under $400.
