Jakeg123
As some of you know, I recently purchased a Yamaha RX-V765. Because of a mistake at electronics-expo, I got the RX-V765 for only $329 new. I was wondering if I should try to sell my RX-V765 for $500 (It is normally sold for $650 and it is still brand new) and purchase a new RX-V863 without losing any money. What do you think? wuzzzer
If you can do it like you describe then I wouldn't see why not!
peshewah
Jake, I don't think you will notice any difference between the two. Save your $$$ and get a amp. Amps never go out of style and you Will notice a difference.
smokarz
what do you not like about the 765? is it power or quality? or both?

I think that is what i'll do, but if I actually do go through with it and someone wants to buy the RX-V765, then I may actually end up making a little bit of money. Jakeg123
what do you not like about the 765? is it power or quality? or both? There really isn't anything that I don't like. I love the RX-V765. I was just wondering if the RX-V863 would be an upgrade or not...

Jakeg123
One thing I was kinda interested in with the RX-V863 was that it had HD radio. Does anyone know if there is a difference?
Fizzlemizzle
Definitely recomend going the amp route. Probably would not be able to tell the difference between the models soundwise. However, if you could get into the high end stuff you would probably be able to.
peshewah
When the 663 and 863 came out people compared the two. And the only difference was the the 863 had more bells and whistles and that was it. Just trying to help a brother out.
nezff
95 watts and 105 watts will be NO difference. I would get a amp if you want to spend money.
