Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted February 25, 2010 Klipsch Employees Share Posted February 25, 2010 The Pilgrimage in music festival form Well here we are again, 10 years down the road and 8 "pilgrimages" under our belt. Each year I ask what you want to do and out side of a few suggestions I am told to "do what you want to, we will come"....well look out. It has been said to be careful of what you ask for, you just may get it. This year I am going to try and do something I have always wanted to do. I have started planning a show for Saturday after noon June 12th, 2010. This event is to be a celebration of music. The way I see it, Klipsch is a company that is founded on the love of music. It has been told that Paul Klipsch wanted to have the sound of the symphony and marching bands in his living room. Thus, he built the Klipschorn. Now more than 60 years later that product is still in production and many of the speakers built in the early years are still reproducing beautiful music. The Pilgrimage has always been the celebration of Paul's work and love of the way a Klipsch speaker brings the emotion of music to life. This year I want to celebrate what Paul celebrated by building his speakers, The Music. In celebrating, I also wanted to do some good for the area. I want to raise money for local charity and the arts. I am working with the city of Hope for the venue and have been contacted or have contacted many local and national acts. At this point we have 5 acts on the list with more in the works. We will celebrate all kinds of music such as Country, Rock, Jazz, Classical, and Blues. Not all of the details are worked out, but one thing is for sure, were going to have fun. Here you will find links to some of the artist set to play. http://www.tonkedwards.com/ http://www.myspace.com/jasonhelmsband http://www.myspace.com/thenighthawkband http://www.myspace.com/hazyjayne4 http://www.myspace.com/strumandholler http://www.wesjeans.com/'>

tensleep
I have stopped in Hope while traveling I30 between Dallas and Memphis. Unfortunately, the Klipsch museum was closed, but the hope museum was open and very interesting. I believe I'll have to attend this here shindig! Seadog
Trey, Do you think you can get the band Pail to come back? I really liked them at the last Hope Klipsch Piligrimage.
picky
Trey: Although Verna and I won't be able to be there this time, maybe the group would enjoy seeing Worthless Dave Almond again. I though he was pretty entertaining. If anyone is curious, here's a link to the video I shot back in 2006 of his performance in Hope. -Glenn Worthless Dave Almond: http://forums.klipsch.com/files/folders/kp-06-movies/entry810372.aspx
