An honorary Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Arkasippia: I've not heard of this university and it makes me wonder if maybe this is one of PWK's tongue-in-cheeks from that rye sense of humor he was known for? IT it's legit; my sincere apologies...

THE KLIPSCH ARCHIIVE PRESENTATION WITH JIM HUNTER:

Back to the office building in one of the conference rooms for Hunter's presentation. It was given on laptop and projected to a large screen. I cannot thank Jim Hunter enough for all of the hard work this man has done on the museum and these archives. He had processed thousands for photos thus far and has only scratched the surface! There is already a lot of information organized but it will take years to get through it all. PWK was a "pack-rat" of sorts and saved everything. Hunter's knowledge about all things Klipsch is incredible. Thank you from all of us, Jim!

Prior to the beginning of the session there were a large variety of Klipsch shirts for sale at bargain prices. They can be seen just below the windows. I found two very cool shirts that I bought. Awesome!

We arrived just before the dinner hour and within 30 mintes the place was packed, included six of Hope's finest (local police). If they eat here, it's gotta be good! You've gotta love the corrigated steel decor! LOL

The food must be good because there sure wasn't a lot of talking! Prices were reasonable and the food was excellent. I can tell you the Beef Brisket and ribs were outstanding!

There's plenty more photos to come from Friday night and Saturday! Stay Tuned!!

That is an awesome write-up so far!

I see a lot of familier faces, as well as a few new ones that I don't recongnize!

Truely a d[ap]mn shame that I got screwed out of making it there. [:@]

At least you were able to make it, and you did not even plan to go! Thanks for taking the time to post up all these pictures. It just about make is feel like I was there (And having been to many of these, including Hope as well, I know what it is like).

BTW, I did watch the concert via the streeming link, but still not the same as actually being (hey, it was just as hot and humid here in Virginia, so I even got that aspect as well) [:o]

FRIDAY EVENING:

After dinner and a quick shower back at the hotel, we headed on into town to the Fair Park where Trey had nearly all the gear set up and connections and tweaking needed to be done. He was in the process of hanging some banners when we arrived. It was a hot, muggy evening of about 95 degrees and very high humidity.

One of the bands that would perform on Saturday....

Trey and crew were busy placing "the balls of the band": No less than 8 Klipsch KP-682's out in front of the stage to ensure plenty of sub coverage. That's sixteen, 18 inch woofers in addition to the 4 already on the stage, folks!
