fini
re:IMG 024-30: I love Hurd's helmet with built-in eyepatch! Great idea for hand-held, oops head-held lighting!! Love the train tation museum shots, too. Too bad they weren't open. You and Verna have been inside before, haven't you? Meeting Miss Valerie a few years back was an ultra-special treat. What a sweet, generous lady. I understand she can be quite, uh, stern when she sees fit. I like her a lot.
picky
I got set up to the left of the stage on camera #2. Initially, they gave me a smaller Sony camera but the camera/tripod combination proved to be two flimsy because just holding the control stick would telegraph anyone's heartbeat into camera shake; not acceptable! So, the TV station swaped out my camera later during intermission after the first act played. Thank goodness for bottled water and that canopy over my head. 95 to 100 degrees, high humidity and a black shirt made things pretty interesting. picky
My "water boy", Customsteve01, paid me a visit with a bottle of water. Thanks, Bro!
picky
LET THE SHOW BEGIN! THE 2010 KLISPCH MUSIC FESTIVAL: I handed the camera over to Verna for the rest of the day. She got a great picture of the front of the stage here showing all of those wonderful KP-682s as the Night Hawk Band fires it up!
picky
The Night Hawk Band treated us to a lot of good music and some great fiddle playing...
picky
Now, that 's more like it: The TV station swapped out my old camera for a "real" one. A Canon XL1 and a professional-weight tripod. Thanks guys!
picky
In-between each act during stage changeover, this young lady, Lona Simmons, a friend of Trey's mother, came on stage to sing for us and to raise money for a good cause: She was raising money for the Red Cross in order to help the folks in Langley, Arkansas who perished in the horrible flash floods that occured Thursday night, the night we drove down from Chicago in the driving rain. Hats off to her and may God Bless the families whose friends and loved ones perished. The Klipsch Music Festival helped raise funds for 3 charities last Saturday. picky
Next up was Worthless Dave Almond. That man can sing the blues! One of my favorites!
picky
During the day while the sun remained overhead, most folks remained beneath the tent as Verna did here. But as you can see, some folks with and without umbrellas actually braved the heat to sit closer to the stage...
IndyKlipschFan
OK, I will bring my own band with me...( On a CD) Can I sing through this syetem next year? PLEEEEEEEASE? Looks like fun!
picky
Tonk Edwards takes the stage and treats us to his relaxed traditional guitar playing. A class act!
picky
Back at the on-stage video board, you can see the feeds from all four cameras. This is where the live internet broadcast feeds came from folks!
picky
Tonk Edwards continues his gig with some Hony Tonk. Nice shot, Verna!

picky
That's Trey Cannon and his daughter. Sorry, I've forgotten her name. She sure has grown since the 2006 Hope Pilgrimage when she helped her daddy pick names out of the hat for the giveaways. You've got a little, future heart-breaker there, Trey.
