Rivernuggets
Just noticed this conversation piece. Not sure if "additional functionality over the standard UMC-1 remote" justifies spending $69. Here's the link. Anyone purchase and have opinions?
wuzzzer
I saw that they have that remote too. Looks like mainly the change is indidivual input buttons instead of having to cycle through the inputs. Seems to be a jump in quality over the el cheapo standard remote, though. Rivernuggets
Seems to be a jump in quality over the el cheapo standard remote, though. It does look well made. I'm a big fan of heavy, solid, metal things.
Fish
I can't imagin why anyone would buy one, mine was free.A new Harmony or HT Master clone can be had for under $50, does everything the original does and more.
Rich_Guy
It's an improvement over the original remote but there are far better remotes for controlling your whole system. You would be much better off saving your money and getting a remote from URC, Harmony or another quality universal remote.
SuBXeRo
i got that remote for free as well, i think its great. Personally, im sick and tired of plastic everything. A nice metal remote, hell yes.

InVeNtOr
i was happy to know Emotiva said every person that bought a umc-1 (everyone on the pre-order list) would get one shipped for free! i was calling to ask a "setting" questions and that is what Vincent told me. nice guy.
