chisoxpurdue
I am wondering if anyone knows if/where you can get a base for a chorus II. I am looking to buy a pair of speakers but one is missing the base so is shorter by about 2 inches. Does anyone have a solution for this? I could build a base but it won't be as good. quadklipsh
woho... i never thought about those being detachable . you surely need a carpenter . goodluck. but do make the missing base . without em the chorus or the fortes look pretty ordinary . USNRET
you surely need a carpenter . Nope, just follow this: [8-|] Proper Screwdriver Technique or How to Be a Man
vnzbd
I removed the bases from my Chorus IIs. I did not care for the look of them. I installed rubber feet and they are doing just fine. If you still have interest in for a base let me know. Mine are in the garage.
chisoxpurdue
I could build a base but I wanted to know if it was easier to just get one. Thanks to vnzbd for the offer but my friend got the speakers from me and said he doesn't need the bases. I will keep you in mind if it comes up because it will if he wants to get those speakers back to me.
Jules L
Hello: I just bought a pair of Chorus II's and they arrived with the bases totally destroyed. The inner plastic corners were shattered, and the four sided wood is split apart at every seam. I could spend several days with corner clamps and wood glue trying to re-square these, then figuring what to replace the plastic with. Or I could offer to buy your bases if you still have them and are still willing to sell. (Plus shipping of course) I am in Ohio, zipcode 44130 . Regards, Jules
SWL
Another member here mentioned that he spiked his Fortes and preferred it to the stock base. May be worth trying?
Jules L
Come to think of it, at my age (60's) at set of casters might do the trick, and make it easier to move them around the room.
Marvel
Make two that are the same and sell the one you take off. Get some 1 x 2 oak (or wood of your choice), have a groove roued in it and then cut all the pieces...Should work pretty well. Bruce
