GWSmith
Thank you Boxx ! Yes, loving the new range! Just installed a stainless steel 'recirc' hood over my workstation at the other end of the kitchen. Its funny, it really IS two kitchens in one now. All that is needed is a small prep sink installed next, and this would complete things nicely. But yes, Chris enjoyed putting together those dishes and of course, use of the range. My job as you saw was just getting the ingredients prepped for his use... Christmas dinner will be HERE, and both cook stations will be in use at the same time.. [] Again, thank you for stopping by [Y] ...........g
GWSmith
Here is a brand new VINO that is JUST picked up at our local liquor store in town Dec. 7, 2012 This one is from our old 'friend' Bogle vineyards and SHOULD be available at yours as well.. This one is a blend of ALL their wines we love and it surely holds up to its mission, 'Juicey' [] I LOVE the rustic label which is a take off from their 'old vine' Zin ... Resonably priced at only $10.95 here in MA. Enjoy if you can.... ..........Gary
Boxx
Great recommendation Gary... I will look for it this weekend as I head out to our local "Central Market."
GWSmith
GREAT Boxx, I knew you would be interested, it is smooth enough as an after dinner wine WITHOUT accomp. not too sweet, but just plain nice, but then again, that is just my take............Hope you can pick it up and give it a taste. I am MOST interested in your thoughts, OR, anyone else here on the forum that takes the lead [] .........Gary
jhoak
Well certainly not "fine food" by any stretch but a couple of big nasty chili dogs sure hit the spot this evening. Two grilled hot dogs (well charred) and a healthy portion of my last batch of Texas Red topped with shredded sharp cheddar and chopped onion. Sided by a dozen or so Tater-Tots and a small bowl of 3 bean salad. Washed it all down with a nicely chilled glass or two of Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA. Dessert was a small glass of one of my greatest weaknesses... Egg Nog. I'll sleep well tonight with a very full tummy and a couple of beers in me. Sorry... No pictures. My camera is currently loaned out and the cell phone pics just purely sucked.

GWSmith
This is a bit more of a close photo........... Various exotic olives, some with HOT Thai, roasted and crushed chilis which I roasted. Some hot pepper and pickled garlic, along with a fine cheese, rustic crustini crackers. AND..................heaven help me, chicken LIVER Pate'!! (Whole Foods) yeah, Chris decided to cheat and go outside the box on his vegetarinism [:S] I stayed away... And, a very fine Whole Foods offering, which are those lovely Thai spring rolls with a very flavourful peanut sauce for dipping! YUMMY ! GWSmith
The vino was from our usual Thursday night after choir rehearsal pizza eatery....... We had enough left to enjoy with the varied starter course...
GWSmith
Back to the main dish of the evening.........I help by prepping fresh board leaf parsley... Can't beat this for every day use!
GWSmith
Here, Chris uses tongs to plate the motzo balls. I thought it would be cool to use our Fiesta Ware deep bowl pasta dishes as soup bowls. It turned out to be a good idea []

GWSmith
HA!, Boxx, yes, it looks like that doesn't it ? [] Well, actually, I held it very high, made three tries, as I could NOT see the display, and finally got it centered, although, my 'Crocs' are in the photo [] Ok, up next are my 'brunch' photos from this morning (Dec. 9th)... .........Gary
