Edroom
Any Idea what type of Klipschorn we got here? Is this a "new" decorator series?
Panacea Engineering
Ed, Looks like someone has modified a TSCM to be a bit more pleasing to the eye.......W. C.
Modified-Tractrix
i don't think that is a TSCM top, looks more like a LaScala split top on a klipschorn bass bin.
Panacea Engineering
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.....Pretty sure that is a TSCM top, as it looks taller than a split LaScala Top. Looks like they may have trimmed the "Wings" off of the base Bin. Of course, I could be wrong....... W. C.
Edroom
I just noticed we have 2 different badges on here, so I am thinking some kind of mix and match
Panacea Engineering
I doubt that any of the badges are originals and I am pretty sure that they did not use the Pie Logo for the TSCM nor the LSI tops.
wuzzzer
Definitely not a TSCM top. LaScala split top:
Panacea Engineering
Mark, I was going by the recess around the edge and it just looks a little tsller to me. I have six TSCM tops that look identicle to the one pictured. There were several different tops. I guess the only true way of knowing is to measure or look at the Jackplate/speaker terminals......I think someone said..."Never say never, when it comes to Klipsch" Your lower picture is of an HPS 525 (John Allen), not a split La Scala (LSI)
Bill W.
The TSCM has a dual manifold with two drivers for the tweeter and a quad manifold with four drivers on the midrange. The throat on The TSCM midrange is much larger than what is shown in the first picture. Looks like a split Lascala top to me.
Guest " "
what kind of woofer....don't TSCM's have k-44's or some other oddball number.
tromprof
I would swear I saw them listed somewhere. Garage Sale section? Looks to me like a just in time for Halloween collectors item, a genuine Frankenklipsch. [*-)]
