philly0116
Can anybody put a ball park figure on a pair of shorthorns in walnut, mint condition with PWK's initials in the 'tested by' line?

LarryC
The one looks very nice (what's the item on the top?). The 15" bass driver should be a plus. It would be good to know what's inside, and if the driver complements are identical. I suggest shining a flashlight through the slot in the back so you can see. A typical complement might be an EV T-35, University SAHF mid, and E-V 15WK (the K was stamped in after the 15, and a little hard to see). I consider that woofer to be a premier product, worth something in its own right. They should sound very nice down to the low-end cutoff of ~ 60Hz if they have the original Klipsch driver-crossover setup, You might ask Greg Roberts in Maine what he thinks they are worth. He has, or had, an unmatched pair. Also Frzninvt.
mungkiman
I paid $700 for a sequential pair in VG condition, but that was several years ago. Chrome K-77, University SA-HF, Stephens 103LX. They were local, and I like them.
sheltie dave
$700 pretty much is market. Your niche is vintage historical Klipsch collectors, which is NOT a large market. Modern speakers do a much better job with sound quality, so there is always a debate between these and their real offspring - Cornwalls. Cornwalls will win every sound war, and generally start around $800. That is the bar.
