fuzzydog
Is this system to be used primarily music or movies? What's your budget?
willland
Chad, Congrats on the awesome purchase. Any recomendations for a sub to go with my RF-7's? Is it safe to say that you live in Amarillo? What is your budget for a sub/subs? Are you open to used subs? Bill
derrickdj1
Chad there are a lot of nice subs out there that will mate well with the RF 7 II's. Klipsch SW 115, PSA, SVS, Chane, Veldyne, Reactio Audio(New Company). My only real adisve is two subs are better than one. chad_amarillo
Is this system to be used primarily music or movies? What's your budget? System is for both music and movies. Just want a good all round sub. I love to crank up some Blackberry Smoke on a regular basis. Budget is flexible, would like to stay around $1000-$1500. Is it safe to say that you live in Amarillo? Your assumption is correct sir. I am from Amarill TX, born and raised. I would consider a used sub, but would prefer new.
Heritage_Head
Look in svs outlet specials. You can probably get a PC13ultra for your budget. Edited March 28, 2014 by reference_head
Heritage_Head
Keep in mind I'm a svs fan boy lol I own 4 of them Edited March 28, 2014 by reference_head
jacksonbart
Nothing wrong with Blackberry Smoke, good southern rock, might like to add some Honey Island Swamp band to add to that mix. I would set up the RF-7 II s and given em a real good listen, bet they dig pretty deep on their own with less room interaction issues. I use an Epik model with my original RF-7s but looks like they shut their doors in Feb of this year. You could check out Klipsch's model or JL Audio e110 as possibilities. Good luck and congrats
Ceptorman
Keep in mind I'm a svs fan boy lol I own 4 of them There is a SVS PB13Ultra on AVS right now for $1200 I believe http://www.avsforum.com/t/1524585/svs-pb-13-ultra Sorry, didn't see local pickup in Seattle. There are 2 Velodynes on AVS also. Edited March 28, 2014 by Ceptorman
Heritage_Head
Two subs might be better also. You could get two pb2000 for around 1500 to your door. The ultra has more output then both but I think two will fill your room better. Edited March 28, 2014 by reference_head
chad_amarillo
Thanks for all the advice! I now have several options to consider. Nothing wrong with Blackberry Smoke You are correct jacksonbart, BBS is awesome. I'm going to see them tonight here in Amarillo Tx. I will check out some Honey Island Swamp for sure.
