Ken
I have a pair of lightly used Forte passive radiator speakers with the domes of the passive radiators dented in but not torn. Does anyone have a suggestion for repair, or replacement parts? I would prefer repair to keep $ down. I am also willing to sell: make me an offer. The oak cabinets are in superb condition, the grills have minor cosmetic flaws. Pictures available on request. Sorry, my picture files are too big to attach here. wdrazek
If there are no tears I think you are good to go, unless the cosmetics bother you. Edited April 13, 2014 by wdrazek

beeker
exacto and order 3" replacements from parts express. I do agree tho if no cracks even if cracks just on the dust caps especially in a passive your good to go just try to keep them clean in case somebody or you ever re cone them..dirt can get in there and mold to the inside and grow into an issue at that point. Push'em all in so they match, just kidding...you could though there just dust caps to keep dirt out of the speaker. pump some watts out of them it will blow out lol If there are cracks like said vacuum or even a fine needle will help pull them out then fill the cracks with shoe goo or anything really. Best of times with your klipsch speakers! EDIT: where are you lotta open wallets here to collect or use them EDIT2: NICE eye are you wearing a wire? Ken
PROBLEM SOLVED temporarily: I am impatient, but actually very impressed by the very quick responses. I had tried the vacuum on my own without luck: too porous. However, thin pins bent into a reverse curve with hook at the working end penetrated easily and with out damage: one needs 2-3 pins at once to help keep the partially restored shape while working on other residual areas. Using two people also helps. Only minor creases persist, but these may allow the problem to return. Is there a source for Klipsch repair parts? I am in central IL. We are downsizing. I also have a pair of pristine Cornwall II's that I would be interested in selling, but due to the weight, e-bay seems to be a stretch. Meet Sophie: I apologize for the creepy original. Moderators Youthman Posted April 13, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 13, 2014 Welcome to the forums Ken. If you need help resizing images, send me a PM and I'll PM you back with my email address. I can resize and send them back to you. If you want to do it yourself, you can use www.irfanview.com. It's a free image viewer and allows for easy resizing of images. Simply open an image, go to Image>Resize/Resample and choose a smaller preset size (ie. 1024 x 768) and resave and then you will be able to upload them to the forum.
